Positive aspects of school
Very good atmosphere, great & competent teachers, we were only two students in our class, I learned a lot!
Negative aspects
Sorrento is a very touristy area, the activities offered by the school (e.g. making Gelati, guided tour of Pompei) were all in English.
Insider tips about what future students should not miss
Find accommodation in the Marina Grande area (very close to the school).
Other comments
Because of Covid, I was only able to attend the course two years later as planned, instead of April 2020 in April 2022. The school credited the full course fee, so I didn't have to pay anything extra. In my opinion, this was exceptionally fair, and I would like to thank the school once again!
City/place
Sorrento is certainly one of the more expensive corners in Italy, as a starting point to many famous sights.
The school's location near the Marina Grande (old harbour) is wonderful and quiet, I also lived down there. I can highly recommend it.
The Marina Grande has a lot of atmosphere, is quiet and yet Italianly lively.

Other comments
I will not recommend this school! No level test worthy of the name, just an oral interview that was useless, because the wishes evoked were not respected.
Quality of teaching / language progress
very bad experience, i will not recommend this school. With the feeling of having been stolen, because 10 hours of lessons instead of the 20 announced. No level test worthy of the name, very disparate levels. And I will remove the star that automatically appears in the overall score, because in my opinion it does not even deserve this grade.

Excellent and very skilled teachers. Olga the very helpful and friendly receptionist. The beautiful gardens. The view from the terrace when I was having my morning espresso.
The Pagano-Morelli family who accommodated me were beautiful people, very kind and could not do enough to make me feel comfortable and welcome.
Other comments
The free introduction to the city tour provided by the school was excellent but I didn’t participate in any extended excursions offered by the school as I felt they were a little expensive.

Positive aspects of school
Its location. Had a great view. Which is obviously non relevant for teaching purposes. I did like that it was relatively close to the centre of town. Although I did not attend the party or the fire works on the roof, I heard that they were fun activities, and the school and its teachers had an inclusive, fun attitude.
Insider tips about what future students should not miss
Don't go to Sorrento in July! It is too hot.
Other comments
There was a lot of "pair work". Ideally, there would be less "pair work" and more conversation Italian in the class, as I think that a person can 'hide' in pair work, and I think that I learn more in conversational Italian classes. I did think the class size was good, as there weren't many people in my class. All the teachers were very nice. Good AV equipment in the class room. Air conditioning could be better - it is hot in the rooms in July/August.

The instructors are excellent and the support staff are most helpful. I had a dental emergency while there, and the staff went out of their way to help me.I think the grammar instruction is better than the conversation piece. It really depends on which instructor you have. They are all good, but some are better than others. My favorites were Lucia for grammar and Guisseppe for conversation. They work there only during high season.
