Passport requirements


All nationals require a valid passport.

Only excemption are nationals of the following countries who may also present an alternative document of identification instead of a passport: Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden.


Mentioned validity: after the last day of stay. For nationals of EU countries and the USA, passports need to be valid for duration of stay. Nationals of other EU countries holding a valid national ID card for tourist visits of up to 3 months do not need a passport.

Who does not require a visa?
Nationals of the following countries do not require a visa when entering as a tourist:

  • Evidence of sufficient funds for stay
  • Proff of purpose of visit
  • Visa fee payment
  • Stamped, self-addressed envelope when postal application

Costs of Visa
  • Tourist Visa: 31 EUR
Spouses and children of EU or EEA countries can obtain a visa free of charge on presentation of relevant documentation.

Applications can take several weeks to be processed (applicants may apply up to 12 weeks before the start of their trip).
