“Classes are relatively small and so is the space for individual work. The biggest drawback is the infantilising instructions, particularly regarding the use of mobile phones during lessons, with some teachers going so far as to confiscate all phones at the start of the lesson. For my part, this approach is totally out of step with the audience concerned, whether in terms of age or the fact that we should be taking more of a university approach.
It's also out of step with the times, because mobile phones aren't just phones. It can also be used as a note-taking tool for lessons and as a useful resource.”

On the first day of school you will have an orientation session where we introduce our methods, schedule and useful tips which help you during studies
Our educational program is based on the Pearson Curriculum. One of the advantages of this program is the wide variety of speaking topics
During each month, all of our students read a story book according to their level. We discuss the plot and characters together. After reading the book you will take a story exam
One of the most interesting exercises is presentation in English. We don’t assess your skill of making a presentation, the main idea is to practice communication skills and formulate and express your ideas. Our teachers are really creative in terms of selecting the presentation topics
Every term, we teach different types of paragraphs for lower levels or essays for higher levels with emphasis on practicing writing them
Mid-term and Final exam each month including feedback about your progress and areas where you need to make an effort
And of course, at the end of each month you will get a certificate with full information about your marks and comprehensive feedback from teachers

I'm French and 45 years old and I need help from the school to apply for a student visa because I want to study for 6 months at this school.
“Under Malaysian regulations, a student can only apply for a student visa up to the age of 45.
Unfortunately, this means that a student visa cannot be issued in this case.
However, French citizens can stay in Malaysia without a visa for a maximum of 3 months as tourists.
The student can therefore enrol on the course as a tourist without applying for a student visa.
After three months, the student can apply for a visa and re-enter Malaysia for a further three months.”

I'd like to know how the levels are divided up in terms of timetables. For example, are levels A0 to B1 in the morning and levels B1 to C2 in the afternoon? I think I'm at A2 level and I'd like to know whether this level is in the morning or the afternoon.

“Here are a few recommendations of nice neighbourhoods where you could look for accommodation on Airbnb, focusing on ease of access to the school and liveliness: KLCC (Kuala Lumpur City Centre), Bukit Bintang, Chinatown (Petaling Street), Imbi / Pudu, KL Sentral / Brickfields (Little India).
If you want to be closer to the school and enjoy a lively neighbourhood, KLCC and Bukit Bintang are the best choices. If you prefer a more local atmosphere or are on a tighter budget, Chinatown and Imbi/Pudu could be good alternatives, while remaining well-connected.

The Stratford GE is a comprehensive six-level program designed to enhance general English proficiency, with a focus on preparing students for academic and professional environments. It covers all four major skills: Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing, making it suitable for learners from beginners to advanced levels aiming to meet university entry requirements.
