Location: Instituto Hispanico de Murcia is located in the university city of Murcia, in south-eastern Spain. The school is housed next to the University of Murcia and is surrounded by shops, eateries, restaurants and further places of interest such as the Catedral de Murcia, the Teatro Romea, Museo de Bellas Artes de Murcia and more. The Murcia Del Carmen train station is within a 23-minute walk of the school, ensuring students have excellent access to the coast, its beautiful beaches and the surrounding areas of Murcia.
Course selection: The school has various courses, suitable for adults, teachers and seniors, over several intensities and schedules. With the beautiful coastline not far and with the regularly warm temperatures, General Spanish courses are readily available in conjunction with local activities such as scuba diving, tennis and cooking. Specialist courses for Teachers and Au Pairs are readily available, along with programmes in Business Spanish, Work Experience and Exam Preparation for DELE and A-Level exams.
School facilities: Instituto Hispanico has excellent facilities over a large campus. These facilities include a cafeteria, computer lab, free after-class access to language learning software, a library and a student support desk for any questions or queries that may arise. All classrooms have televisions, air conditioning, heating and ample natural light to create an optimal learning environment.
Accommodation: Accommodation is available through the school, in Homestay and Shared Apartment facilities.

This course includes 20 Spanish lessons per week, 8 hours diving lessons and 4 practice dives beach-confined waters, 4 practice dives open waters and insurance and course certification.
This is an OWD (Open Water Diver) course combined with Spanish lessons. A student will have four lessons of Spanish plus two hours of diving theory and practice everyday.
The school collaborates with PLANETA AZUL, fully qualified, highly experienced in all water sports and Spain’s first National Geographic Dive Centre and a PADI 5* Gold Palm Resort.
The student doesn't need to have any diving experience at all!

“The friendliness, competence and energy of the teacher (Belen), very active, fresh lessons.”
“The course is mostly attended by students who live in Murcia. The courses are therefore not tailored to students who only book holiday courses. This means that you happen to do exactly the same unit that the fixed group is doing. For me, this meant only doing the ‘Futuro’ period for a week. I would have liked a more varied grammatical or content-related programme that also took my wishes into account to some extent. Another point of criticism: the heterogeneity of the group in terms of language level, which slows down the lessons.”

"I assumed I would eat with the host family (as this is what has happened on other trips I have done), but I was left to eat alone. In the end I eat at restaurants as I could at least watch others while I eat. This said, the host would have a brief conversation with me before I eat, but if I had known this, I would have chosen another accommodation type.

"Accommodation is sufficient for a short stay. There was little information about the meals (make your own breakfast, hardly any choice, dinner was cooked) even when asked. Dinner was served at different times and very late, around 9.30pm - we thought there would be nothing. Unfortunately, the hostess didn't sit down with us and wasn't particularly interested in us. We would have liked it to be more familiar.
