General facts about Test of English as a Foreign Language / TOEFL:
The Test of English as a Foreign Language / TOEFL is an examination of American English which is required for admittance in most US-American universities.
The TOEFL® test is offered in two testing formats: the TOEFL IBT® test, administered via the Internet, and the TOEFL® PBT test, administered in a paper-based format. The format you take depends on your test centre location.
Level:
There is no passing or failing TOEFL® score. Individual higher education institutions and agencies set their own score requirements. TOEFL scores are valid for two years after the test date and there is no limit to the number of times you can take the test.
Level based on European Framework: A1 - C2.

Advance sign up:
Depending on the booking density of the desired test enter, 1-8 weeks before actual exam.

Reading, writing, listening and speaking.

For the TOEFL IBT, the total score is from 0 to 120 (Reading 0-30, Listening 0-30, Speaking 0-30 and Writing 0-30).
For the TOEFL PBT, the total score is from 310 to 677.
