Location: Linguaschools Granada is located in the culturally rich Andalusian city of Granada, in southern Spain. The city is abundant with history, architectural delights and culture, with Linguaschools Granada situated right in the middle of it all. The school is housed centrally, between the Fuente de Las Granadas, Federico Garcia Lorca park and Plaza Isabel La Católica. There are many eateries, links to public transport and attractions nearby, with sites such as the Granada Cathedral within a 10-minute walk of the school's front doors.

Course selection: In addition to General Spanish courses, available to students of all levels, Linguaschools Granada also provides programmes in Spanish & Culture, Exam Preparation (DELE, SIELE), and a combination programme of Spanish with subjects such as Flamenco Guitar and Flamenco Dance. Business Spanish and 50+ Spanish Culture programmes are also available at various times throughout the year.

Getting around: Granada is a fantastic city to see and interact with on foot and by bicycle. The closest bike rental company is around a 10-minute walk from the school's front doors, ensuring students can enjoy the city and its sights at their own pace. Linguaschool Granada also provides an active social calendar where students can arrange to go out on nights together, take some local tapas, go out and see the city through various walking tours and much more.

Student reviews about "Intensive 20" at Linguaschools
Inkeri 5.0
"I liked the course and the teaching style."
Nanette 4.0
"The course was really well balanced. The first lesson focused on grammar and the second on using that grammar in conversation. I opted for additional conversation lessons in week 2 as the quality of teaching and the ambience at the school was so good."
Alida 4.0
"The placement test at the beginning was a short conversation. But it was a perfect fit."

Student reviews about "Intensive 30" at Linguaschools
Inkeri 5.0
"The teaching was effective and comfortable, I learned a lot more Spanish and I was also encouraged to speak Spanish"
Paul Nathan James 4.0
"The overall teaching was really good. The teachers were really friendly, enthusiastic and encouraging, which really helped me to excel in my language learning. However, I feel like more Spanish could have been used to explain different concepts like grammar. I would like to come back to this school. "

“Small classes, friendly teachers and staff.”
“Planned trip around dates for 50 plus program and paid extra but there wasn’t a program. Limited activities and as a beginner difficult as all in Spanish. For a beginner level the content didn’t include anything useful such as going to restaurant, shopping public transport etc. This is the same as CLIC. The structure of each 2-hour teaching block being taught by different teachers would be fine except each teacher didn’t seem to have coordinated with the other about content and on several occasions they covered the same content on the same day. Would prefer more conversation classes with much more of student speaking.”

“Staff were superb, very friendly, fun and knowledgeable. They seemed genuinely interested in student welfare. The location in central Granada was perfect with cafés, bars, restaurants and sights all within minimal walking distance. There was a sunny terrace on which we could chat to fellow students during breaks.”
“There were initial teething problems, however, the school was responsive to my concerns and resolved the issues.”
Insider tip: “Although I didn't take 1:1 lessons, various students recommended them to me. I would add them if I were to return.”
Details of the review
Quality of teaching / language progress: The course was really well balanced. The first lesson focused on grammar and the second on using that grammar in conversation. I opted for additional conversation lessons in week 2 as the quality of teaching and the ambience at the school was so good.Other comments: The staff are what really make this place special. I would return without hesitation and would recommend the school to others.

“I don't know. School exceeded my expectations in a very positive way.”
Insider tip: “It is worth taking private lessons, for me they were very useful. It is worth reviewing and listening to Spanish before coming to the course, get more out of the teaching. It is worth attending excursions organized by the school. since the guide spoke Spanish, also learned the language”

“Majority of the teachers are very good at their job and know how to motivate the students.”
Insider tip: “Tickets to visit the Alhambra should not be bought at kiosks. They are thieves. We bought tickets in a kiosk for EUR 59. The price should have been EUR 14.85 only. The price should have been EUR 9 for my wife and I because we are over 65 years old.”

Other comments: When the school is at full capacity, there are insufficient toilet facilities. Normally one has to queue for 3 to 5 minutes. This is not appropriate in my opinion.

“It's hard to say what was best about the school, but I felt welcomed by all the staff and asking for help was very easy. I had three wonderful teachers, Nuria, Ana Hernanates? and Ana Delgado. Nuria gave a great lecture on the historical development and she knew that I did not understand so much Spanish so she spoke some English to, so several of us could follow the story with her. I want to have it emailed. I had three private lessons and then became a little more acquainted with that teacher, but all three teachers were super good at giving positive feedback.”
Insider tip: “I have nothing negative to say. As you learn more, you need to communicate more. We were never told how to get online so we could hear Spanish, so the staff should be trained in that.”

Other comments: I was at the bottom level then I started, I was not aware that several of the students was Spanish speakers, but the school did handle this in an excellent way

Quality of teaching / language progress: The overall teaching was really good. The teachers were really friendly, enthusiastic and encouraging, which really helped me to excel in my language learning. However, I feel like more Spanish could have been used to explain different concepts like grammar. I would like to come back to this school.

Other comments: I enrolled in SHM from Australia, having never learned Spanish before, and with little basic knowledge at all. From my first day, the school was not only a wonderful learning institution, but also a tremendous support network for me on all levels. From coming with me to the Office for Foreigners in order to help organise my long term student visa, to assisting me in applying for work, the staff at the school were unfailingly kind, helpful and supportive. In the time I attended I had both private and group classes. I had a great time regardless of whether it was one on one, or with other students – my classes were filled with humour, great conversation, and learning. I always felt I could ask any of the teachers to explain things more fully, and was often aware that the teacher was setting different level exercises for each student in the class, to ensure that all were learning at the appropriate speed. I also noticed that in many cases teachers actively sought innovative and creative ways of teaching. They genuinely sought to engage their students interactively, and teach in novel and interesting ways. I felt the teachers gave their heart and soul to the job and really cared about each student to walk through the door. Our social occasions were wonderful, and the friends I made whilst at the school – both staff and students – will remain friends for life. From the moment of my booking in Australia, I was assisted in everything I needed to apply for my student visa, find a flat, and begin a new life. The school understands the dislocation many people feel on moving to a new country, whether it is for a month or permanently, and are always on hand to help. I can’t recommend SHM more highly, and having spoken to many other people in Granada who have attended other courses, I feel very fortunate that I chose one so well organised, helpful, and financially affordable. No matter where you come from or what you hope to achieve in learning Spanish, SHM will work with you to make sure you make those goals a reality. Thank you all so much for your kindness, friendship, and good times.

"I wanted shared apartment so that I can make friends and hangout with people who has similar language goal as mine. I never stayed apartment with its owner and did not even hear about this kind of accommodation. It was quite awkward. Especially on host's days off (includes weekends), my host stayed in the house all day long. Also Whenever I go into the kitchen, I feel like I'm being monitored for no reason. I felt uncomfortable whenever I cook and the host turn my room light off when I went to Kitchen (to save electricity). I did not use washing machine much and most of laundry was done by hand wash. The host was good person though. But it was really uncomfortable. I really wished to live with other students. If host is living in a same accommodation, school should let student know. It was very uncomfortable 4 weeks of my life and I do not wish to go back ever.

"The accommodation at 8 Avenue de Italia was very poor and not fit for 4 students at a time. Very poor kitchen facilities with broken drain where water has to be collected in buckets. Everything is very old from tv to microwaves. Broken showers and blocked drain. Basically this place in my opinion is not fit for students to live there for the cost per week
