Positive aspects of school
Excellent teacher. Very methodical, experienced, patient, kind and enthusiastic. Well organized and easy to understand and learn from.
Negative aspects
Classroom very small. Can easily hear class next door. No contact made by school before first day so I did not know what to bring to class or what level I was in. No placement test. Paper towels missing in bathroom to dry hands.
Insider tips about what future students should not miss
Bring a notebook and pen every day. Also a folder to put class handouts in. Would have liked a booklet from school. Some of the handouts were hard to read and got wrinkled, ripped, wet because they were not in a booklet.

Positive aspects of school
The two week intensive classes were rigorous and engaging. Small classes of 3-6 people gave each of us plenty of opportunities to apply our language skills. Alex was an attentive teacher while immersing us into the language, culture, current events, etc. I am very pleased with my progress and the experience. Alex' wife and daughter were also a great help and so kind. Big thanks to Javier for the bachata lessons, too!
Negative aspects
Although I loved the weekends on the beach, I kind of missed the classes! The people at Chiechen Itza provided a safe and comfortable place to practice. ^^

Other comments
Really glad we chose to attend classes here where we could have small intensive classes with Alex. :)
City/place
A very chill and relaxed place by day, exciting by night along 5th Ave. Like almost anywhere though, be attentive when walking around at night.
Quality of teaching / language progress
Maybe ask about any needed text materials beforehand. If you ever feel like you have any concerns or something is not meeting your expectations, you can ask them about it. They are good people.
