Additional information
Positive aspects of school
Everyone was super nice and helpful. Organization and activities besides the school were also good. Suggestions were collected what the participants would like to do and those were then also implemented. Top. The average age was fortunately a little higher. There were some people my age and older, which I had not expected. We had a nice mixed group and there was something for everyone.
Negative aspects
12. September was the first day for everyone in the new rooms. Therefore, everyone (including the teachers) had to get used to it.
Some of the teachers were completely new and lacked experience or some of them didn't have a concept yet (sometimes a bit helpless). But everyone starts at some point... Apart from that, one week was far too short for me...
City/place
A very cozy city with lots of green...parks etc....Very good bus connections
Quality of teaching / language progress
It was very exhausting 4 hours intensive group lessons and then directly 2 hours private lessons. I was exhausted in the evening, but it was mega fun and it was interesting.
Accommodation
Elvira was very nice, helpful and very eager. She showed me a lot of things. The apartment was very clean and she also cooked delicious food.

Additional information
Positive aspects of school
I liked the teachers. Especially Salva. Very energetic, patient, pleasant, tactful and respectful. At first it was hard to immediately switch to speaking, the first week I think it was a failure, but then I started to speak. Thanks to the school and of course the students in my study group with whom I interacted outside of school. Therefore, 2 weeks is not enough, a month would have been fine. Those were very busy and happy days.
Negative aspects
Organisation within the school. They didn't tell me anything, they didn't show me anything. I didn't even know where to fetch water, where the entrance was, etc. I got to school on my own for the first time, I asked them to tell me how to get there, no one told me anything, they could at least send me the route. I asked where to buy a bag and they said there were lots of shops. There were many administrators, but they did not help. I was the only Russian-speaking person. It was very difficult the first week. Also, they didn't give me a student card and there was no discount in museums.
City/place
For me, Spain is beautiful with all its disadvantages.
Quality of teaching / language progress
Very few activities focused on learning about the culture and nature of the country. Thank you for the flamenco, salsa and the outing to Calpa, which a large number of students did not attend due to lack of places. Very unpleasant.
Accommodation
I lived in a flat after renovation. I liked it very much, it was clean, had everything I needed, good equipment, all new appliances, shared balcony. The flat has 5 rooms, shared living room with kitchen. One shared bathroom. Good location, the school can be reached on foot or by transport, 30-40 minutes. Mornings in the park are worth the walk.

Additional information
Positive aspects of school
Very useful and engaging teaching mode. Clearly I will only speak for my own level: I appreciated the choice, in the C1 class, of the conversation mode preferred to the standard purely didactic teaching mode. Dynamic and passionate teachers. Fresh and international environment. No dress code or restrictions. Adequate lesson times, with breaks and taking into account the academic quarter-hour.
Negative aspects
They said there would be free activities but they were all extra charged. In addition, they asked for suggestions on the activities we wanted to do, but they were not given much consideration.
Insider tips about what future students should not miss
Do not have expectations about accommodation. Be aware that the price will be high in relation to what is offered.
City/place
A youthful city suitable for standard holidays and study holidays. There is plenty to do and little to get bored of, if you let yourself be swept away by the Valencia lifestyle.
Accommodation
Very bad organisation: dirty rooms on arrival, so they make you change rooms (not only me, also other guys who arrived earlier or later); difficult to be reached for necessities; dark room; keys to be collected from the other side of town. Only positive notes: roommates (a luck you don't always have) and spacious kitchen.

Very beautiful and livable city.
Quality of teaching / language progress
I found myself very well in your school, both as a location in the city center and the method you have adopted for teaching the Spanish language. I appreciated the work and teaching of all the teachers who were assigned to me during the three weeks of the course, none excluded, as well as the kindness, professionalism and availability of your team always present at the reception to solve any problem. I liked your extracurricular activities, participating in many of them. I felt equally comfortable with the classmates who followed one another during the three weeks. As for the accommodation, despite being a nice apartment, unfortunately very dark, and my room equipped with a window, which overlooked the 4 load-bearing walls of the apartment building where there was no sky or sun, with light bulbs so low that didn't allowed to see. Although I mentioned this to the hostess, Concha, she lent me a lamp with more light for just one day, as it was taken away the next day. In addition, this hostess has no dialogue and does not entertain the guests who live in her home, at least not me, the exact opposite of the families where my companions lived, who have all told me and confirmed that they have had the opportunity to speak Spanish with the people of the house, thus having a greater chance of making use of what has been learned in school.

Sometimes I could not understand the teacher or the students well because I was sitting near the window that overlooks the street.

Taronja goes above and beyond in teaching Spanish to a diverse student audience powered by a fine-tuned system of rotating classes and teachers. The pre-entry online test managed to put me in a perfect class so I could learn efficiently from the first lesson on Monday. Optional evening events felt very special, one can meet own teachers in a relaxed friendly atmosphere there and use these occasions to exercise even more. It was my first Taronja visit, but very probably not the last one.
Insider tips about what future students should not miss
Don't miss the Friday evening events. Follow the school's advice and use Spanish also outside the school on every occasion, it will help a lot.

Insider tips about what future students should not miss
I went to the beginners class because I did not study so much, but I think it would be better to study the basics because I could not keep up with it from the middle.
Other comments
I am thank to the staff members and teachers for helping me even when I was troubled with the class, but I thought it was a bit unfriendly for the taxi when I left for Japan early in the morning. The taxi arranged by the school take a reservation, but the taxi in the city they told me the phone number but did not take a reservation and I was not confident to do it by my self because I was not confident in Spanish. As for the host family, it was good, but they supposed to change the sheets and towels every week, but they did not do that for the last two weeks. I did not tell them because I thought that they did well to us enough. However, they asked me go out for dinner at the end, and they kind of asked me who take care of the payment, and I said I would like to pay because they took care of me, but in the end I needed to pay for their daughter's also. I didn't care so much if it wasn't so expensive, but the total was nearly 100 euros which was high for me and I was delighted to be a good host this time, but I felt very disgusted. I thought bad because I had to leave the house at 4:00 am on the last day, so I intended to stay at the hotel, but they told me that it would be okay to extend the stay and they even arranged a taxi, and I was thankful because their daughter was nice to me. However, I finally ate only breakfast and they told me something like they don't need to cook for the dinner even though I paid for the extended stay. I went to the restaurant for lunch and ate, so I felt strange somehow because they didn't provide lunch for me either. I would like to study abroad for a short term again, but I'm done with that host family and I thought that I would like to have an apartment alone next time.

Insider tips about what future students should not miss
Do all of the social activities as most of them, like club DILE and the cooking class, are a wonderful way to improve your listening. Try to communicate in Spanish as much as possible, and avoid falling back to speaking in your native language when at social events. Let the teachers know if you are struggling. The first week is definitely the most difficult, but you just need to persevere and keep going.

I liked the location of the school, but not the building itself - the rooms without windows. There was also no air conditioning. It is more difficult to assimilate new things in such stuffiness and without space outside the window. Compared with the language schools in which I was before, my progress was minimal. Organization of the school good but too much formalities

Insider tips about what future students should not miss
I would not advise the school immediately. Several students dropped out because they could not follow it. Acoustics (Vaga) locally bad. Teacher (Alba) talked 3/4 of the time, too fast and indistinct (articulation). There was not a good use around the pedagogy and/ or lesson structure. This is my 10th language I learn but the result was far below my expectations.
Other comments
Also director Jenny started on day 1 with an introduction that was not easy to follow: Too fast (both English and Spanish), no check whether it was understood etc. It was charming, nice people but it didn't work.

The school is small and homey. They organize a plenty of activities. I went to Las Fallas just for the sightseeing and didn't speak with new people. However, you can make friends and improve your Spanish by participating in the event.

I would recommend to participate in the school offers at least during the first week. They help a lot to orientate oneself and to socialize. Furthermore you learn many interesting facts about Valencia.
Other comments
I consider the school as being highly recommendable. Extremely well trained teachers manage to get across a lot of knowledge in an entertaining way. I was only 2 weeks there and I could noticeably improve my speaking and grammar skills. Only slight criticism for the relatively poor air within the rooms that often have no windows. But in the existing air conditioning system a remedy could be found.

The whole package! The teachers put a lot of effort in teaching, even when we did not understand everything. Thanks to the after school activities it was never boring. Also Valencia itself has a lot to offer as well as its neighborhood. I enjoyed it very much and did not want to leave after the four weeks were over. My Spanish has improved a lot during that time. I can only recommend it!

They organized lots of activities to keep you busy and to get to know the other students. A social activity almost every night. For example: paella night, beach party, windsurfing, beer + tapas night, cooking class. It was great. They really offer more than just Spanish lessons. Besides that, everybody in the school was really friendly (teachers, staff, the other students) and everything was well-organized.

Go to the social events, maybe not all of them but the ones you are interested in. It provides a good opportunity for meeting new people.
Other comments
The accommodation was a big disappointment. The internet did not work throughout my entire 8 week stay, the TV did not work and many of the lights did not work. What made it worse was that the landlord never did anything about it despite promising to on many occasions. I felt I could have learnt more if the lessons had translated some English into Spanish or vice-versa. Sometimes it was hard to keep up with the teaching because of this.
