Location: Churchill House is located in the charming seaside town of Ramsgate in the South East of England. The school is a 5-minute walk from the Yacht Marina and within a 10-minute walk of the Western Undercliff Beach. There are also shops and eateries nearby, allowing students to enjoy the traditional seaside town of Ramsgate to its fullest.
School facilities: Churchill House has top-quality facilities including a computer lab, library, restaurant, café and a games room. There are also sporting facilities and courts for playing tennis, football, basketball and table tennis. The school is housed in 3 buildings, the Paragon Building (social & educational), 42 Spencer Square (administration & social), and the Executive Centre (educational for specific studies). The Main Courses in General English follow a syllabus designed to help students develop fluency and confidence in communicating and improve their skills in speaking, reading, writing and listening. The courses provide a structured and enjoyable way to progress in English and achieve learning targets. The school encourages students to develop their own independent learning skills and monitor progress through regular assessment and feedback reports.
All General English Main Courses are 20 lessons (15 hours) per week with 3 hours of tuition each weekday morning. In addition students are expected to complete at least one hour’s homework a day.

Information for all courses offered by Churchill House
- All beginners must book 25 hours lessons per week for at least the first 4 weeks.
- Course textbooks are free for all adult students but an initial deposit is required (approximately GBP 30). Students will change their course books each month as they progress up through the school levels. At the end of their course students have a choice to either return their final book to the bookshop and receive back their full deposit (providing the book is undamaged) or simply take the book home with them.
- For afternoon elective classes, the teacher will bring all the class materials that students need.
- Students aged between 16 and 17 years old cannot book the normal adult courses during the time period of June, July and August. During this time they will need to book the Junior Activity Programs.
