This course is specifically designed to help prepare students for the IELTS exam.
About this course:
IELTS is the International English Language Testing System which tests English proficiency across the globe. Our IELTS exam preparation course teachers focus on developing key techniques and strategies specifically for the IELTS examination. We give regular practice tests and coach you on the correct and most effective approach to each section of the test. Our Academic Team can help you through the application process for the IELTS examination.
Additional practice for the Listening and Speaking components of the exam is provided on some afternoons during the weeks leading up to the examination. Teachers also assign work to be completed in the language laboratory outside of class time and a tutor is available to assist with this.
The IELTS examination preparation course is available on an ongoing basis, subject to the minimum level required.

About this course:
The Intensive Plus IELTS examination preparation course is for those students who wish to supplement their Intensive Course with extra classes to prepare for the IELTS examination in small groups in the afternoon (maximum of 8 students). You are required to have a minimum level of Intermediate English to participate in this course.
Our Intensive Plus IELTS examination program combines the morning classes included in our Intensive Course with small, afternoon classes focused on exam-specific preparation. The new intensive course curriculum ‘Integrated Learning’ curriculum is based on 21st Century Skills such as collaboration, critical thinking and problem-solving. Your teacher will focus on the four skills of Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing and on developing your specific IELTS examination techniques and strategies. We give regular practice tests and coach you on the correct and most effective approach to each section of the test.

This course is for teachers who are new to or have recently begun teaching CLIL. It is aimed at all secondary teachers and primary teachers of pupils aged 10+ and offers a practical introduction to the CLIL approach and how to implement it in classrooms. This course focuses on the teaching of English in the secondary school classroom. Students are presented with different learning theories and their applications to help them gain confidence and competence in English. The course includes lessons, seminars and cultural activities.

And it becomes harder and harder for you to engage them with your lessons. There are only so many creative ideas you can have before you’re recycling the same activities again and again. This course is designed precisely to help you find new ways to get past these issues.
The one to two-week Energizer Master Course focuses on helping you create new lessons that will re-engage and re-energise both you and your students. You’ll discover effective new techniques and how to adapt them for your students. You’ll also have afternoon seminars in Education and Irish Culture.

Trinity Hall is an official residence of Trinity College Dublin, which is available to our students during the month of August. The residence is situated in the quiet residential area of Dartry in Dublin. It is only a short 10-minute LUAS (tram) ride to the city centre. The Hall offers single or twin bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, in apartments with shared kitchens and living areas. The residence also offers 24-hour laundry facilities, an on-site convenience shop, free WiFi and 24-hour on-site security. This residence is conveniently located a 2-minute walk from our Palmerston Park school.
