By choosing to live at a homestay, you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in English or Irish culture, spending time with your hosts and practising English outside of the classroom.
You’ll live in a home with a local host and up to three other students. Your host may be a single person or a couple with or without children, and the host’s age, nationality, and background may vary, but the school makes sure that the main language spoken in the house is English.
Half-board meals are included Monday to Friday and full-board meals on weekends as standard. Menu and meal times will depend on your host. Special dietary requirements or food allergies must be declared at the time of booking so that the host can be advised accordingly.
You will have access to common areas such as the kitchen and living room. You will share the bathroom. Your bedroom will have a bed and some storage space for your clothes. A desk and chair will be also be available within the house. Please ensure you are clean and tidy and respect your host’s space.
You will have to use public transport to travel to and from the school. The average travel time is up to 45 minutes, but it can increase due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g. roadworks) or in busy periods.
