English lessons for kids combine not only lessons in international classes where students improve language skills like speaking, writing or grammar and vocabulary but also give the opportunity to your child to explore London by joining a weekly half-day Discover London visit. These trips are educational and are part of the teaching programme where kids are given activities helping them explore various museums, historic houses or other famous sites London has to offer.
On the first day of arrival students are tested and placed into classes based on their level and age with maximum 15 students in a class. Students are encouraged to work with different nationalities and English is the only language spoken in class.
Now your children can study English from the comfort and safety of your home. The online English classes for kids are flexible, and suited to your child’s learning style. Lessons are visual, engaging and taught by teachers from British Council schools who have years of experience educating children. All of online teachers use proven pedagogical methods which are ideal for children. These online lessons are all one-to-one sessions. Lessons are catered for children of all levels and abilities.
Private English classes are for adults who want to improve English rapidly by concentrating on specific and individual language learning needs. Your one-to-one teacher will work with you to identify your language learning goals and plan lessons designed to help you meet your objectives.
One-to-one Lessons are about:
- Focus: The one-on-one learning experience is more focused on the student. The instructor can gauge progress and set a pace that meets the student’s learning abilities. In groups, the classes are structured to accomplish a certain set of goals within a certain number of sessions. There is little consideration for the individual’s ability to grasp the subject matter.
- Concentration: Private lessons are focused on the student’s progress, not the group’s progress. The instructor knows when to pick up the pace and when to spend time on difficult areas.
- Pace: Private lessons usually get faster results. Due to the concentrated instruction, students can progress faster than do students in group classes. Of course, students in group lessons can accelerate their learning by intense training between sessions.
- Discipline: Private instructors usually take a more disciplined approach to learning. The also hold their students to higher degrees of accountability.
- Learning Environment: Private students can usually have access to a facility’s full repertoire of services and equipment. Groups usually have limited access to these learning tools.
