The intensive Spanish course is 20 hours per week, 4 hours a day Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 1 pm. Even though the groups can be up to 8 students, they are most of the time only 3 to 4 students, which allows students to take a more active part in the class.
The four hours are divided in grammar, vocabulary, reading and listening comprehension, conversation and cultural topics (depending on the level of the students, this can include some history of Mexico, Mexican traditions, music, etc)
The ideal duration of the course is at least 4 weeks, but a minimum of two weeks is a common option. Students who really want to achieve fluency should consider 2 or 3 months.
Due to the small size of the groups, the students have plenty of opportunity to take part actively in the classes.
Students are provided with study material (photocopies) at no extra cost. Those who prefer to buy the book are charged the cost of the book (around 40 USD)
We welcome students of all ages, depending on the time of year, the average age can vary, but it´s mostly young adults and seniors during the Winter.
All the teachers at Agora have many years of teaching experience and will provide excellent quality teaching

The additional classes can be used to focus on specific needs or topics, to add extra practice on certain challenging grammar points, to provide more opportunity for oral practice.
This option is often chosen by German students as part of the Bildungsurlaub program, as they need to complete 30 hours of classes per week.

Private classes are intended for students who have specific goals or needs in mind. Students who want to learn or improve their Spanish for specific purposes should consider private classes, as they are guaranteed to focus on what they specifically need to learn. Private classes can also be a good option for students who have hearing problems and are more comfortable in a one on one setting. Private classes can also be used as a complement to a group intensive course.
