Location: Anglophiles Summer School Peterborough is an immersive junior summer school located in the English city of Peterborough. A cathedral city with many activities and interesting sites to visit, Peterborough is ripe with a rich mixture of history and modern living. The school is housed on Brooke street, central to the city and within walking distance of many amenities, services and attractions. Attractions within walking distance include the 13th-century Peterborough Cathedral, Peterborough Museum & Art Gallery, and several shopping malls.
Course selection: Anglophiles Summer School Peterborough provides an English & Multi-Activities programme to students aged 11-17 during the summer months. This course is immersive and inclusive of tuition, accommodation, activities and excursions.
Accommodation: The English & Multi-Activities programme comes with shared room accommodation in homestay (full-board).

This programme is a perfect combination of English lessons and a varied selection of sport and leisure activities. During the language lessons, the class will focus on spoken English and students' listening skills, as well as work on grammar and vocabulary. This will help students to be confident in their everyday communication.
Then, participants will take part in various sport activities: swimming, tennis, basketball, squash, etc. Additionally to the sport activities, the course also offers leisure activities, such as laser games, cinema, visit to museums, etc.
The programme includes a full day excursion each complete week, with short trips to discover the area.
Accommodation & Food
Each student will be accommodated in carefully selected families by the Local Organiser. Many of the families receive the students regularly every year and all are thoroughly inspected before being accepted. Full-board. On weekdays: breakfast & evening meal with the host family, packed lunch with the group. At weekends, all meals with the host family.
English Classes
24 hours of lessons during a 2-week stay
35 hours of lessons during a 3-week stay
Students are given an English language test on arrival and placed in English classes according to their language level. The average number of students per class is 12-14. However, a maximum of 16 students per class. Emphasis on spoken English and listening skills, including work on essential grammar and vocabulary.
The teachers are all fully qualified. Many of the teachers have worked regularly on past programmes. They work with great enthusiasm and energy to make the classes really vibrant and enjoyable. All course materials are supplied.
Activities & Excursions
Various sports e.g. Swimming, tennis, basketball, table-tennis, squash etc.
Leisure activities e.g. bowling, laser games, ice-skating, museums.
There is a whole day excursion, each complete week, and trips to discover the area.
Supervision
Students are supervised by the school's highly experienced team of English Teachers and qualified Youth Leaders.
