Location: Capital School of English is located in the popular coastal resort town of Bournemouth, on the south coast of England. The school is housed in a 100-year-old building outside the town centre, in the modest residential suburb of Winton. There are supermarkets, shops, eateries, restaurants and links to public transport close to the school. Attractions such as the Oceanarium, Bournemouth Pier, Bournemouth Beach, and the Russel Cotes Art Gallery & Museum are within a 20-minute bus journey of the school's front doors.
Course selection: In addition to General English programmes available to students of all levels, Capital School of English also supplies Exam Preparation programmes (FCE, CAE, IELTS), Young Learners immersive programmes during the summer months, and a Future Success course for students aged 16+, several times throughout the year.
Social and cultural: Activities may include tours of the local premier league football club, Volleyball on the beach and local sightseeing.
Getting around: The school is within a 3-minute walk of the closest bus station, offering several routes to and from the town centre. The town centre and all of its attractions are within a 15-minute journey from the school via bus. The Bournemouth train station is under a 10-minute bus journey from the school, with London within a 120-minute train journey from there.

The English + course is the most popular General English option at the school.
You will study General English for 3 hours per day using a course book PLUS a 45-minute communication lesson per day.

This course is perfect if you want to improve your everyday English, develop your confidence using everyday English and the necessary skills for effective communication.
Each week you will take a skills-based test to see your development. Students will receive regular homework and tutorials for long-term students (enrolled on courses 13+ weeks).

Staying in an international student residence allows you to live independently in the UK and meet other students. The residence is only available in the summer. Capital School of English uses university halls of residence which are ideally set up for students from around the world.
All rooms are private (not shared with another person or student) with a single bed and en-suite (private bathroom).
All rooms are within a shared flat of 4–8 other rooms. All flats have fully fitted shared kitchens and dining spaces to eat, relax and socialise.
The Residence is self-catering (meals are not included). You have a shared kitchen in your flat with basic cooking utensils and cutlery.
There are laundry facilities available on-site for you to wash your clothes (do your laundry). You must pay to use the washing machines and dryers.
Rooms are cleaned weekly by professional cleaners. They will change your towels and bed linen (sheets, pillowcases and duvet cover) every week.
