Future Learning offers a range of innovative adult courses for the 21st-century learner which focuses on the development of their language skills through communication, collaboration, creative problem solving and digital skills.
It is an opportunity for participants to experience Future Learning’s high-quality teaching which promises to foster development and progression as well as discovering Ireland.
The initial stage of the course is designed to help people to make a life for themselves in Ireland through English and deal successfully with all the situations that will arise at home, socially and work if taking a part-time job. It aims to help develop communication skills that consider the cultural as well as the linguistic challenges to successful communication in English.
The second stage is designed for professionals who are interested in developing their spoken and written communication skills in an international and technology-enhanced environment. The aim is to equip participants to communicate effectively in English in order to be able to progress professionally. Living as a global citizen, many opportunities can arise in international technology companies that employ multinational teams to service global markets in the first language. The language of coordination and management in these companies is majority English. However, and in order to progress in your career, you need to be able to present yourself well and communicate effectively in that language. Effective communication is about more than just the language; it is about engagement with the culture of the company in an appropriate way.
The third stage is designed to equip people to make a success of studying in an English speaking country. The aim is to equip participants to communicate effectively in English in order to be able to progress academically. Effective communication is about more than just the language, it is about engaging with the educational culture in an appropriate way. It aims to help develop communication skills that consider the cultural as well as the linguistic challenges to successfully studying in an English-speaking institution.
Ireland is a vibrant centre of culture in the English language, coloured by the unique heritage and history of Ireland. This course aims to combine language refresher sessions with an introduction to and exploration of the life and culture of this unique location. It will be a mix of classroom work and sightseeing excursions. It will provide an exposure to the language in context, as well as tricks and tips for analysing, understanding and remembering, along with developing an appreciation of the context in which it is used.
Start dates come is the following duration format:
24th June: 6 weeks through to 2 week.
1st July: 5 weeks through to 2 week.
8th July: 4 weeks and 2 week.
15th July: 3 weeks or 2 week.
22nd July: 2 weeks.
The FL Young Adult Cultural Programme is all about exploring the area you are visiting, getting to know its people and the civilisations from ancient to modern that shaped its landscapes, its vibrant towns and cities and the great myths and literary masterpieces inspired by it. This programme is designed for mature, independent students who prefer to have some freedom to explore the aspects of Ireland’s capital city that interest them. The cultural activities engage students’ creative and critical thinking skills in multi-sensory interaction with the physical world and help them develop the language to describe those experiences.
Dublin city centre has many fine student residential options to offer international students. FL uses the best quality accommodation in the city. The student accommodation is perfectly located close to the campus so you can easily travel to and from your classes. Residential accommodation allows the freedom of being close to your friends and living in the centre of Dublin throughout your stay with us. The school typically offers students six to eight single en-suite bedrooms in one shared apartment. You’ll have access to the large shared living and kitchen areas with your co-students. All rooms come with an en-suite shower room, single bed, spacious work areas, and plenty of storage. It also offers some great social spaces with a study room, an exclusive on-site gym with hi-spec equipment, and a spacious courtyard area.
The Future Learning Young Learners Programme is about exploring the area you are visiting, getting to know its people and the civilisations from ancient to modern that shaped its landscapes, its vibrant towns and cities and the great myths and literary masterpieces inspired by it. The cultural activities engage students’ creative and critical thinking skills in multi-sensory interaction with the physical and social world and help them develop the language to describe those experiences based on their cultural development through the programme.
The school prides itself on the great service which the host families provide to their visiting students and leaders. At FL they work with the families not only during the peak summer months but year round for the mini-stay and group programmes, so the language school knows their host families exceptionally well. If taking the host family programme, you will travel to and from school to work with a FL private coach each day. Students will need a maximum of 15-20 minutes to walk to the meeting point.
Since 2015 Future Learning has been a recognised provider of Erasmus+ training courses and has warmly welcomed, organised, and shared innovative practices with participants throughout Europe and from all around the world.
Future Learning offers a series of Teacher Training Courses, Language Courses including 21st Century Skills to Erasmus+ participants aged 18+ and 21st Century Projects to Erasmus+ Young Learners (aged 12 to 16) and Young Adults (aged 17 to 20).
