Position in Bournemouth: Kings in Bournemouth is to the north of the city, close to Meyrick Park. The area is a quiet residential part of Bournemouth with a small number of local shops.

Getting around: Bournemouth Train Station is a 15-minute walk from the school entrance. At this station there are lines to local towns and cities as well as to London. The centre of the city is 20 minutes by foot or by public transportation. There are a number of bus stops around the school for navigating the whole of Bournemouth.

Main city features: Bournemouth is known for its beach by both travellers and locals. From the school it is possible to reach the pier in around 30 minutes. Once students have reached the centre of the city, they can jump on a bus that reaches the beach in less than five minutes.

Course: Kings has compact and intensive courses for those wanting to learn general English. The school offers both exam preparation courses for both the IELTS and the Cambridge exams for those who need this for higher education or to enter the workforce. There is a diploma course, a foundation course and an academic year programme for those who need a specific level or certification to continue with their studies. During the summer months, the school provides an adult summer programme, which includes accommodation.

Junior courses: In the school holiday months, Kings opens its doors to younger learners. Programmes are created so these students not only learn English but experience Bournemouth.
  • The language school Kings was founded in Bournemouth, England UK in 1957.

Kings

“I fell into EFL teaching while travelling in the Bornean jungle. I was thrust into a classroom at a local high school as the first native teacher of English the children had ever encountered. Although I had no idea what to do the smiles on the pupils' faces and the pride at seeing some progress in their English speaking in that first 30 minute encounter inspired me to work in this field. One thing all English language learners have in common is the sense that they will create a better future for themselves by improving their English language proficiency. The part that I play in that whether big or small, direct or indirect, is what inspires me to work in this sector. I get real satisfaction in knowing that I have made a positive contribution to the life goals of many individuals and groups and continue to do so every day.”

I loved the fact that teachers were always available and they not only loved to teach you the language and show you their culture but they were also interested in learning about yours.Classmates were really sociable and friendly.
Insider tips about what future students should not miss Considering that I was very fine with the host family, according to me people should really know the real distance between school and host family. I was told that the house was a few minutes from the school but every day I had to do about 50 minutes travel between the bus and walking.

Other comments Family: although it was a bit away from the center, I give full marks for the attention and sympathy for Janine, the owner. Return to the same place. The School: do negative value return books during holidays. Although my stay was short for work (two weeks) I have noticed a significant advance.

Other comments I'm very happy that I did an English course in Bournemouth. First, because the school and second, because the school... I've made a lot of friends... Try to be social, try to go out with other students, don't be alone, it isn't good to stay only in the family... Thanks.
