Limerick
You can study either English or Gaelic with your teacher while staying in their family home in Limerick, Ireland. This option will give you 15 fully customised private lessons to improve from per week, not to mention all of the conversation practice you will have with your host family at the dinner table, or in the streets of Limerick.
In the Republic of Ireland, Gaelic continues to see use thanks to the education system’s efforts to preserve this language, so you can encounter many people with whom you can practise the language. However, please note that a high level of Gaelic is not especially common among the majority of people, so you might have to narrow your search for conversation partners by joining clubs, and so on. The common language spoken is English, and if you’re studying this language then you’ll be able to use it everywhere you explore in Limerick.
Your host family provides your full board meal plan, so you can concentrate on your language studies and discovering the city for yourself. If there are any issues that come up during your stay, you can contact HLI’s Local Organiser staff in Limerick.

The 3 Key Benefits of an InTuition course:
1. Amazing tutors: The secret to the success of the courses is simple. The organisation works with only the best host tutors, selected, resourced and supported by InTuition, so you can be confident in their quality and their commitment to providing the very best language learning experience.
2. More than just a language course: You and your host tutor can plan visits and excursions which are relevant to your interests, and organise specific activities in your free time. Real-life opportunities to use the language of study keep you talking and listening throughout your course, helping to boost your confidence and fluency.
3. Rapid progress: Choose from three to six hours per day of one-to-one tuition, based on your precise needs. Outside formal lessons, you will be in relaxed social situations, giving the opportunity to build and strengthen your confidence in the language of study.

Q&A - Questions and answers about Ireland
- Can I book accommodation only?“No, schools only provide accommodation for their students, for the duration of their studies at the school. ”Louise Granath, LanguageCourse.Net - Jun 22, 2023What types of specialist courses can be booked in Ireland?“At the moment, the schools we partner with in Ireland offer:
- English for Aviation
- Business English
- Medical English
- Legal English
- English for teachers (the required language level is C1 - this is a course for teachers of English)
”Gosia Mazur, LanguageCourse.Net - May 25, 2023Is it possible to book only activities for juniors, with no lessons or accommodation?“At the moment we do not partner with any school which would offer activities only, they are always a part of the English course.
Junior courses include not only lessons but also great activity programmes so kids can continue their English learning outside of the classroom.”Gosia Mazur, LanguageCourse.Net - May 11, 2023My daughter wants to travel to Ireland with two other friends, can all three stay in the same homestay?“Normally, the families that collaborate with the school do not usually receive more than one student of the same nationality. In addition, it is not advisable for all three students to stay in the same house, so that they can practise their English outside of school hours. What can be requested when making the three bookings is that the girls are placed in three different houses that are not too far away from each other.”Rubén De Haro, LanguageCourse.Net - Apr 26, 2023I don't quite understand about the number of lessons. Do you mean the number of lessons per week?“Each course has a different weekly teaching load, with 20 lessons per week being the most common standard courses offered by all schools. Please note that a lesson is not always an hour (60 minutes).”Rubén De Haro, LanguageCourse.Net - Apr 24, 2023I need the school to send me a letter of admission so that I can show it at the airport to fly to Ireland.“Bolivian citizens seeking to enter Ireland as English language students do not require a visa to travel to Ireland. What is required is that students show a letter from the school confirming their enrolment as a student on a full-time course, proof that they have paid school fees, private medical or travel health insurance with medical cover for accidents and medical incidents, including hospital stays in Ireland, valid for 12 months or for the duration of their stay. Citizens who do not require a visa must also demonstrate that they are able to support themselves financially after arriving in Ireland.”Rubén De Haro, LanguageCourse.Net - Apr 04, 2023I have already made my booking and would like to pay the rest of the payment for the English course.“Once the school confirms your place within 48 hours, you will receive a confirmation email specifying the remaining amount to be paid and the method(s) of payment accepted by the school.”Rubén De Haro, LanguageCourse.Net - Apr 03, 2023I would like information about language exchanges. My idea is to go to a family's home in Ireland and have someone from there come to my house while I am there.
“The schools we work with do not offer such programmes, but you can book a course at one of our schools in Ireland and stay with a local family, if you wish.”Rubén De Haro, LanguageCourse.Net - Mar 23, 2023In order to travel to Ireland from Bolivia, do I have to cancel the 25 weeks required for the study and work visa?“We, as an agency, do not take care of all visa-related matters. The regulations for obtaining a visa are quite delicate and change constantly, so it is best to always contact the embassy or consulate of the country you are going to visit in your home country.
What we can tell you is that in order to receive your visa letter you must have already paid for your booking in full.”Rubén De Haro, LanguageCourse.Net - Mar 21, 2023Is there a school in Ireland where I can prepare for and sit the CPE exam?“Bridge Mills Galway Language Centre offers a CPE preparation course which consists of 20 lessons per week, from Monday to Friday. This school is also an examination centre for Cambridge Proficiency Certificate so you can prepare for and sit the exam in the same place.”Gosia Mazur, LanguageCourse.Net - Feb 03, 2023I would like to know if there are any schools in Ireland that offer junior courses for under 16s, and that I can study as an adult at the same time?“We have several schools that offer day courses for children, and at the same time offer courses for adults. They would be different groups of course, and we would have to find dates when the two courses start at the same time. In addition, the Berlitz school offers a "Parents and Children" course where you can study together for the duration of the course.”Angel Marcos, from - Jan 23, 2023I am interested in learning Spanish but I have no prior Spanish and would need a beginners course. Could you let me know the class options?“The school Bridge Mills Galway Language Centre is a school that specialized in teaching English as a foreign language. In Ireland, the only school that offers Spanish programmes on a one-to-one basis is Berlitz in Dublin. As an alternative, we cooperate with many different schools all over Spain and, at the time of writing, some online courses with group lessons can be arranged too.”Ana Carolina Dos Santos, LanguageCourse.Net - Jan 02, 2023Is it possible to study English and work in Ireland? I am Spanish.“Indeed, any citizen of the European Union can work and study in the Republic of Ireland without any complications or visa formalities. In addition, since you do not have to apply for a visa for Ireland, you will not have to comply with the common requirements of a visa: nor will you have to take out compulsory health insurance (although this is still more than advisable), nor will you have to prove financial solvency, among other benefits.”Rubén De Haro, LanguageCourse.Net - Dec 19, 2022I am from Morocco ,can I join an English course in Ireland?“Yes, our Partner schools welcomes all nationalities.”Sawsan Zein, LanguageCourse.Net - Dec 11, 2022I am a native Spanish teacher in Dublin. Do you need teachers?“Thank you very much for contacting us, but I regret to inform you that, on this occasion, we will not be able to help you. It is the schools themselves, and not us, who select their staff (teachers / monitors), so I recommend that you contact them directly.
