This German Intensive course is suitable for those who need to bring up all of their German language skills in general, or for those who want to develop more specific skills, which can be focused on during the school’s workshop sessions. With a weekly schedule of 24 lessons, students are able to make serious progress relatively quickly, and at the same time still have some free time left over to enjoy the sights and sounds of Munich. All participants will receive a placement test to determine which level of group they start the course in, which can later be adjusted according to their progress. The academy will provide you with a textbook, as well as access to their online learning materials. International students can make great use of the school’s help and support service, in case they ever need help resolving some kind of administrative issue. The course also includes 2 workshops per week, in addition to the 24 group lessons. The high season surcharge is only for courses with a duration of 1–11 weeks.In the Intensive Course, you will learn German for your work, studies, school or simply for yourself. If you do not yet have any knowledge of German, you can register for one of our beginner courses. If you do have prior knowledge, you can start your course every Monday. The school's varied leisure program complements your lessons in the classroom with excursions to nearby cities and regions. Outdoor activities, visits to museums, cooking together or games and cinema afternoons are among the most popular activities. The minimum age for the German Intensive Course is 16.

This option includes a personal assessment interview, two weekly activities and weekend excursions. **Course Description** -Focus on learning the main skills: reading, writing, listening and speaking. - Lessons are academic and goal oriented so you can make rapid progress. - Practical language is emphasized for use in everyday, professional and academic situations. - Fast and efficient teaching methods: Use of course materials is emphasized. - Stabilizing grammar and vocabulary. **Teaching Material** Normally, the Standard Course centers around the course textbook, which contains a variety of language exercises, listening activities, videos, and authentic texts. Currently the school uses the following course materials (subject to modification): - Coursebook Netzwerk A1, Netzwerk A2, Netzwerk B1, Aspekte neu B2, Aspekte neu C1, Erkundungen C2 - Worksheets, newspapers and magazines - Audio and video materials The course books are not included in the price. They can be purchased from the school. **Course Protocol** So that class is as comfortable as possible for all students, the school asks that you adhere to the following classroom rules: - Class begins punctually at the scheduled time. Participants who do not arrive punctually may not join the class until the next break. - Behave in a manner that does not disturb the other students. - At the end of each course level there is a final test. You must pass the final test with at least 60% in order to move to the next level. - You will receive a certificate if you attend class 80% of the time.

This course is ideal for students who want to achieve a general understanding of German, with a balanced approach towards all of the main language skills. You will develop your abilities with EF Munich’s 26 weekly classes, and by staying with a local homestay family you have the opportunity to continue speaking German when you’re not in class or out in public. The General German course also provides 4 Special Interest Lessons, which you can take advantage of to go more in-depth with topics that you would like to learn more about. When it comes to meals, your host family will provide you with breakfast and dinner. In most families’ homes, breakfast is taken individually, while dinner is expected to be enjoyed together. The school recommends making an effort to be present for dinners, to foster a positive relationship with your host family - and it also contributes to your total time spent practising your German.This carefully composed course of 26 weekly lessons (total tuition time of 17 hours and 20 minutes), held in the morning and afternoon, is designed to help you move up 1 course level every 6 weeks. The general language lessons build your grammar and vocabulary, while the project sessions improve your research and communication skills through practical work tailored to your interests. Definitely teachers - Susanne and Lydia. Charismatic, well-prepared, open, just perfect.
Conveniently located - straight after classes you can easily make great trips from HBF (Starnberger See - only half an hour with S-Bahn!). If all the teachers offer such a quality of learning - this is a perfect school! But I can only talk about C1 level. The only disadvantage for me was that extra-curricular activities are almost not working. BUT you can organise everything on yourself, so take your chance to do so.
