I am working in teachers training in university, basically in didactics. I enjoyed very much to "change the side" and to experience myself as a student. I was impressed, how the teachers handled a range of different students, how they motivated students from different countries really to conversate in italian (not, and it would have been much easier, at least during breaks or in the afternoons, in English or german). I also liked the way of teching and learning, how grammer was combined with literature or contents of daily life. The teachers did a very good work!!
Insider tips about what future students should not miss the afternoon programmes were wonderful, don´t miss the Rialto-Tour and the visit of Frari-church!

I enjoyed the lessons very much. In the first week, I was assigned to a course that was too demanding for me because I had joined in the 4th week of the course. In the second week it fitted very well because the course started all over again. At the beginning of the second week I felt rather underchallenged.

I liked the teaching concept with assignment sheets corresponding to the topics discussed (including homework). The Vota "10" is given in any case to the teacher, on whom of course much depends on the overall impression.
Disliked
There wasn't really anything I didn't like. Sure, the classrooms are a bit "old-fashioned", but that doesn't diminish the (success of) the teaching.

Quality of teaching / language progress: The online assessment was totally fine. I had no problems joining the course, which had already started a little earlier. Otherwise, as already mentioned, the teacher and the teaching philosophy (a mix of grammar and topics borrowed from everyday life) were optimal from my point of view.

Disliked
My rating was too low and I had difficulty changing levels. I was underchallenged, but didn't put up much of a fight. The students' pronunciation skills were very poor, as were their fluency skills, which were never corrected or addressed. It was very exhausting for me to listen. I almost only enjoyed listening to the teacher. I booked the course because I wanted to learn to speak more. I had a year of Duolingo self-study before that. But I was able to speak much better.

Other comments I would have loved a bit more structured approach to the grammar part. After first week I was confused and went to buy a grammar book to clear some things up. And the beginning seemed a bit slow - first three days we repeated pretty much the same stuff. And I don't mind a bit more homework. About social activities - I didn't participate cause our coursemates went to the first one and afterwards told that it was all in Italian so it held me back from future events cause there is no point for me if I don't understand anything. Maybe next year! :)

Very pleasant learning environment. Focusing on communication has helped me progress a lot.
Insider tips about what future students should not miss The cultural offerings in Venice are overwhelming. I can recommend a concert evening in San Vidal or a choir concert in Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari. The churches are full of art treasures. This year the various Tintoretto exhibitions were a must. I can only recommend a visit to the opera in La Venice to everyone. All course participants had a lot of discovery fun on long walks through the various sestiere. I was also enthusiastic about my island tour to Murano, Burano and especially Torcello. A very special experience was San Michele the cemetery island. I could recommend a lot more - but the wonderful city on the lagoon has so much beauty and lovely picturesque corners in store that everyone is cast under its spell in their own way!

Insider tips about what future students should not miss Coffee at Mammafé. Ombra - (wine) at da Lele. Corner bar right on the canal is great (location and value for money). Excursions in the area are worthwhile: Padua, Treviso, Eugene Hills - even Mestre has beautiful sides (Forte Marghera is a destination for locals!).
