Positive aspects of school
The location of the school (in the historic centre) is great, the entire staff is extremely helpful and responds very quickly (emails etc.) even outside of office hours. The teachers are flexible in their approach to the students, but always consistently pursue the learning objective.
Negative aspects
Only mini remarks (German complaining): The WiFi in the school is very weak in some places (in the break area it often breaks down, in some classrooms it doesn't work at all). There is no water dispenser.

Positive aspects of school
Very flexible when changing the group or time of the lesson. Immediately respond to requests. You have to ask actively.
Negative aspects
Loose sheets with exercises - no overview of what has been learned and what is still missing.
Insider tips about what future students should not miss
It must be pointed out to the course participants that the pronunciation of the locals in Cartagena is unclear. It is not due to their own understanding!
Other comments
Maria at reception is super helpful and friendly. She does everything to help and is boundlessly patient. Deserves special praise.
City/place
The high humidity should be mentioned and the slurred pronunciation of the residents. Would recommend a language course in Medellin/Bogota.
Quality of teaching / language progress
Private lessons for beginners are very demanding. Last teacher repeated grammar, which was great. Two months of private lessons at one location was too long for me personally.
Accommodation
Private bathroom booked for a total of 8 weeks stay but shared bathroom with another person for 2 weeks.

Positive aspects of school
The teachers do their best to accommodate everyone in the class. They are always friendly, courteous, helpful and unflappable. Very enjoyable.
Negative aspects
That is difficult to specify. I probably would have expected more efficiency in less time (typical German), a kind of crash course: e.g. the 20 most important verbs to have a conversation in the present, past and future, right at the beginning. And then practise with them. In the end, however, everything worked out because I had booked 3 weeks and everything important was covered at the end. Now it's just a matter of practising!
City/place
Beautiful old town, very touristy, many people only see dollar signs, sometimes very pushy

Positive aspects of school
I had booked two weeks and the second week with Sebastian was really good. I also booked private lessons and got Lilli as a teacher. She responded straight away to my wish to use local topics for the lessons. I really enjoyed that. With one exception, the other staff members were very friendly and helpful.
Negative aspects
The first week was frankly bad and this was due to the unprofessional teacher.
City/place
Inside the city walls very beautiful, outside frighteningly dirty. The thousands of street vendors are extremely annoying.
Quality of teaching / language progress
It was a pleasant class mix

Positive aspects of school
What I liked most was the teachers' attention, especially from Prof. Wilson and Prof Julieth, who were always available to teach me not only grammar but aspects of culture, politics, religion, history, geography, and cuisine of Cartagena de Indias.
Negative aspects
I had no disappointment at it all. All my expectations were exceeded.

Insider tips about what future students should not miss
As a complete beginner, 1 week is definitely not enough. It's too overwhelming. I had a good A2 / 2 level and would have liked to stay for at least a month because it's a lot of fun and although the lessons are really very good, it just takes time to learn a new language properly. So bring a lot of time. Nevertheless (if you already have a foundation) I would recommend a stay in Murzen (maybe with additional private lessons in the afternoon) because it's a lot of fun!
