Positive aspects of school
The location of the school is very central in Shanghai and the neighbourhood is very nice (French district in Shanghai). The teachers are professional and adapt well to the students' needs. Highly recommended for beginners and advanced students, also for private lessons.
Negative aspects
The toilets could be more clean, classrooms are a bit small

Insider tips about what future students should not miss
Since the classroom is small, the number of group lessons is at most 2-3 people. If you want a small group, this is the place for you. I was disappointed when they finally gave me a receipt for the class fee after repeated requests. Why do you want it? It was like that. In addition, I asked the school to provide proof of attendance for my visa application, but according to the visa agency, "English certificates cannot be used for the application. Also, they do not accept a visa application for study purposes unless it is for a Chinese language school. However, there are many Westerners who have stayed at this school for a long term, so I don't know if it is really true, but I think you should be careful when applying for a visa.
Other comments
Due to the small classroom, the private lessons were held in a suffocatingly small place. There was no place to relax like the lobby, and it wasn't very nice to see people gathering and eating at the entrance. Most of the students are young Westerners, and I think it's hard for people who aren't used to that kind of atmosphere. I had private lessons all in Chinese, but beginners were in English. Not recommended for beginners who cannot speak English.
