Positive aspects of school
The staff are very competent, friendly and flexible. The lessons are very well organised so that learning success is noticeable within a short time. Muchas gracias a todos!
City/place
The building structure is beautiful, but unfortunately many of the buildings are in poor condition. It feels like everyone has a dog, but almost nobody cleans up after them. The markets are great.
Quality of teaching / language progress
Very intensive and educational.

Positive aspects of school
Very good teacher. Perfect that private lessons were available
Negative aspects
As a beginner, it was very hard to learn anything when the class size was too big. Grown-up people that speak without lifting their hand and so on.
Insider tips about what future students should not miss
Go out and meet the locals, the language will come to you much more easily then
Other comments
A bit too many young people, unfortunately. Generally, very good!
City/place
Love it! Will definitely come back to Uruguay in the future, maybe even move here. That's how much I liked it
Quality of teaching / language progress
Very good
Accommodation
Very good. The only drawback was the way to and from school. Way too long in my opinion

Positive aspects of school
Great location and classrooms, competent teachers, good teaching script.
Negative aspects
Afternoon activities were a bit boring. This may also have been due to the fact that Montevideo is in low season and many places are closed. Some of the teachers are very professional in the sense that they "go through" their lessons (very well). No interest in the person beyond teaching, no small talk.
City/place
I am not sure if my assessment is representative: In Montevideo it is still early spring and pre-season, many places are still closed.

Book the course and don't be afraid. You are going to improve your Spanish level.
Other comments
A completely reliable and serious academy that is worried about the students.

Interesting but expensive, I think the city is a bit dirty.

Insider tips about what future students should not miss
Focus is the word that defines the vast majority of those who study at Academia in Uruguay. Students with little interest in learning will feel out of place.
Other comments
I suggest that there be a brief welcome meeting every Monday for incoming students. In this conversation, it would be interesting to talk about the school and its extracurricular activities, as well as give an overview of Montevideo, clarifying possible doubts. I think it would be very useful, especially for those who will stay longer in the city.
City/place
It is worth getting to know the city and the people of Montevideo, who are generally friendly and discreet. The point of attention is the very high cost of living compared to other countries in South America.
Quality of teaching / language progress
Nice content, guaranteed learning,

I know it's an old building, so this is probably not possible, but there is a bathroom shortage...Everyone takes a break at the same time. Maybe the break time could be divided up into two?

Wonderful staff and teachers. A curriculum that is sufficiently challenging without being overwhelming. They are always willing to adjust to what is most important for each student.

City/place
A really lovely city. Very easy to live in, safe, small enough that you can walk almost everywhere- but if you don't want to walk, the public bus system is great. Beautiful architecture, friendly people, and although plenty of people speak English, nobody leads with it, making it the perfect environment for an immersive Spanish speaking and learning experience.

The school was great, unfortunately the "hostess", even if she was nice, looked more at the money and served reheated frozen food . Therefore, it was a mistake for me to book "Homestay".

It is a pity that there are no first-class media material. The speakers don't work most of the time (and acoustic exercise is also important ... not every host family has a working TV)
