Frankly, the school did not give me what I wanted, which was the chance to talk in a group of roughly my level of competence about matters of mutual interest. I found that I was learning grammar that I learned nearly 50 years ago.

I loved it, especially the teachers, the training consists of several parts: listening, reading, reports and conversation on various topics, at the same time it is organized as a game, so the time passes quickly.

Insider tips about what future students should not miss
Careful with the group where you are placed. In that sense, my experience was not so good. I learned more by staying with a host family.
Other comments
I was placed in a group that was below my level , it was ok to revise but not to learn anything. I did not ask for a change because the director advised on the first day that the level had to be demonstrated through the work in class; that's what I did and it was evident to everyone, teacher and classmates, but they did not change me to another group. At Alianza Francesa La Plata I was given a higher certificate.

I was very satisfied with the teaching process. I think most students were not interested to take part in social activities. Maybe you should describe to them the events in detail to encourage the students not to be afraid/ashamed of participating. Thank you for everything. You helped my French very much.

Insider tips about what future students should not miss
It is recommendable for the people who want to learn French during the vacation. Some students attend a course with their family. In my case, I wanted to study very seriously to prepare for the entrance exam of a university though, the level of the class was not very challenging. To be honest, I could not improve my French skills. Other students didn't seem to study very hard. However, I really enjoyed a vacation.

The varied teaching styles that culminated in an all-round experience. They mixed grammar with lively debates, and as a beginner I didn't think I would be able to articulate arguments but we were all encouraged to give it our best and the teacher corrected some of our efforts afterwards. They understood we wouldn't pick up everything in order, and gave us the freedom to absorb as much as each individual could on a daily basis. Significantly improved my confidence whilst attempting to hold a conversation.

Insider tips about what future students should not miss
If the classes are held in Estienne d'Orves, it is better to book accommodation in the residence Colinette. It is newer and offers single rooms with a small bathroom and a refrigerator. The second residence is located in the territory of the campus. It is old, and the rooms are for four students. Unfortunately, the air conditioning is not provided anywhere.
Other comments
I studied in the campus Estienne d'Orves. The biggest disadvantage was the lack of air conditioning in the school building and in the rooms where the students lived. In July, the temperature was +35 degrees - it was difficult to study in such circumstances. The lessons were usually held without much thrill. Two excursions per week (Wednesday and Saturday). The rest of the activities depend on students´ choice. In most cases we were taken to the beach in the afternoon and left there (without any supervision), the bus picked us up in the evening . But many students moved around the city on their own. The most improtant thing is to be at a fixed time at the campus in the evening.

Have been there already in autumn and I loved it. Unfortunately, this time you cannot compare. The teacher was rather unfriendly and everything was very impersonal. I do not know if it might have been due to a lack of staff but this time, unfortunately, we were very dissatisfied.

Really motivated teachers, who tried hard to help you improve your language skills. They tried to make you feel integrated in the group.
Insider tips about what future students should not miss
Overall, the school is very good. It is located in the centre, near the main train station.
Other comments
The only bad thing is that the patio/garden of the school is always occupied. Due to the lack of classrooms, many lessons (especially the private ones) were held there so students cannot enjoy it.

If you like order and everything functioning like clockwork, this may not be the best school for you. But if you like relaxed attitude and fun approach to life and teaching, you'll be fine!

My second time there. Overall good organisation, but this time the teaching was a bit unstructured, and the level of some of the students was uneven .

They are taking on a lot of students, good for business, but the result is a rather crowded and noisy environment, that at times makes it hard to concentrate during lessons.
