Negative aspects
Poor facilities, lessons too short, no leisure activities. No opportunity to get to know other language students. No placement test.

worst language school ever attended
Accommodation
Booked a shared student apartment. I was given accommodation with an old lady, about 3 km outside the centre. Room small, dark and without a usable wardrobe. Bathroom dirty.

Positive aspects of school
Small, cosy, manageable, roof terrace, very nice open team - thank you Daniel
Negative aspects
Communication/ support from Germans was great. School itself: was irritating (received a cancellation of the course in the morning, which then took place after all); 1-2 more written documents (forms/grammar) would be nice for me.
City/place
I think Tenerife is a very beautiful island. I would not repeat Santa Cruz - very weather-determining experience (weather divide clouds/mountains), no Maritimo, no city beach to linger - what a pity

City/place
You can easily spend up to 2 weeks in Santa Cruz. There is something to explore in every direction. In general, I have noticed that the air quality has deteriorated. I hate the pollution from bottles and cans in the barrancos. There were even plastic bottles floating in the water at "Las Teresita's" local beach in Santa Cruz.
Quality of teaching / language progress
I personally would not recommend it if you are currently on the A1-A2.

Positive aspects of school
The lessons are interesting and entertaining. I learn a lot of grammar. What I learn is also immediately applied in dialogues. My teacher Samuel explains everything very clearly and comprehensibly, so that I can remember the grammar very well. He teaches very empathetically and at the student's pace. In just a few weeks, I am already at the A2 level and feel much more confident. However, we don't learn according to a language book. The lessons are structured according to grammar.
Quality of teaching / language progress
I can highly recommend the private lessons with Samuel.

Positive aspects of school
Flexibility. I was able to tailor my lessons to times and days that suited me during my stay in Santa Cruz. There was also flexibility with the teaching. My teacher responded to what I wished to do and tailored the teaching appropriately.
Negative aspects
There was nothing I disliked. Far from it. The only small point I’d like to make is that it would have been useful to have received confirmation from the school that my full payment for the course - which I paid a week before the course was to start - had been received.

Friendly, professional and flexible. I’d recommend Spanish lessons there.

Additional information
Positive aspects of school
The school is quite centrally located
Negative aspects
The lessons were disorganised and unstructured and did not seem well prepared. The actual course level was lower than stated by the school and consequently the grammar topics were mostly repetition. Although this was pointed out several times, the course level remained low and there was hardly any attention paid to individual mistakes and needs, but only the less supportive lessons were worked through. I did not learn much.
Other comments
I would not recommend the school to others
City/place
Beautiful island, many interesting places to discover, great nature
Quality of teaching / language progress
Teacher was nice, but the lessons were not well designed. A " common thread " was completely missing. Teacher did not seem interested in the students' progress, but rather worked through the lesson.

Nice and dedicated teachers, the private lessons are adapted to your needs so think about what you want to cover during your lessons and let the school know in advance.

The host liked to sleep in and got annoyed when the students got up early to get ready for school, she should maybe not host students! The lamps in the accommodation were energy saving and not suitable for reading.

Insider tips about what future students should not miss
I am sorry that the school did not provide me with more detailed information on how to get there the day of arrival 3.10. from Santa Cruz Bus Station by tram to the accommodation address in El Peru. The plane was a long delay of almost 3 hours and I did not come to Santa Cruz by bus until the evening, after 7 p.m.
Other comments
Wifi only on the ground floor of the school.
City/place
The lack of a beach in the city is partially replaced by Parque Marítimo
Quality of teaching / language progress
The teaching was informal, the teacher very friendly, with a professional university education and a very good approach to students, willing to explain everything.
Accommodation
The requirement to be able to use the bathroom independently was not met. No wifi and very weak internet connection via mobile data. Penetration of cigarette smoke into the room through a single window facing the minimal living space on floor five.

Other comments
Friendly, but a little messy organization. Had to remind them to get my language test sent, but it came quickly when I asked for it. My room mate was not allowed to do anything, and ended up in the wrong group according to her. The accommodation was not a student apartment, but I lived with a woman. It worked great, but it would have been nice to know this before arrival. You have to take initiative to schedule your individual classes yourself. I got them all during the last week which was a bit much! Very substandard wifi. Only open during the lessons, so no possibility to use libraries for possible computer access or study. It was a bit of a shame. BUT ... The incredibly hospitable lady I lived with, my dear roommates, the incredibly skilled teacher we had .. made it all worth it !!!!

As a true beginner, it was very difficult to follow the teacher at all, as all conversations and explanations were in Spanish. Nevertheless, this seems to be the way to learn a language. It got better in the two weeks I booked. The goal now is to continue learning and improve the language skills.

Teacher Visente just a treasure! He is able to convey information to students with the most minimal knowledge of the Spanish language. And it is a clear and distinct. My classes began at 10 am and ended at 13:30. Very comfortably. There is time to sleep and after school to walk and go to the neighboring towns.
Insider tips about what future students should not miss
The school has a bicycles for rent, you should probably take it. Since the first two weeks of walking, I went enthusiastically, but on the third march a little fed up to 30 minutes.
Other comments
It's a good school, especially for people 30+. I am 24, I was the youngest in the group. There was the oldest woman with 76 years old. Felt a bit cut off from society, because the interests and views I have were totally differed from the middle-aged generation. I want to come back again in this school.
