Additional information
Positive aspects of school
Young teachers, dynamic
Negative aspects
I don't think the teachers have had didactic training. They spend too little time explaining grammar and then want to practise too quickly on assignments. I myself am first grader (maths) and have learnt how to teach. Had a consultation with a senior classmate (German) here and he agreed with me.
Insider tips about what future students should not miss
Besides Salamanca, Alberca, Mogarraz and ciudad Rodriga are beautiful sights about an hour's drive away.
Other comments
They should pay more attention to teacher development in didactics.
City/place
Beautiful city, lots of attractions, also in the surrounding area, excellent cleanliness. Absolutely recommended.
Quality of teaching / language progress
Lesson block was split into first part from 9:00 to 12:15 and a second part from 16:30 to 17:15. That's not so convenient if your wife is along.

Additional information
Positive aspects of school
Very friendly, competent, helpful teachers and organisers. Very personal support and atmosphere. The focus in the lessons is clearly on communication, but the necessary grammar is also taught. Small classes. Individual allocation to the appropriate level, very flexible.
Negative aspects
Schedule of lessons changes frequently. No materials with which to work and revise at a later date.

Positive aspects of school
Ester, Leire and Hester were welcoming, knowledgeable, friendly and most importantly, encouraging. The lessons were engaging and confidence building. The lessons were never easy, but they were structured in a way that positively supported my learning. The facilities were appropriate to my needs. Overall I felt challenged and I think the phrase poco a poco is a good summary as well as philosophy. I would definately go back when time, money and circumstances allow it. Many thanks
City/place
It's a beautiful small city. The only areas I haven't commented on are ones where I've not been sufficiently engaged in to form an opinion.
Quality of teaching / language progress
I originally thought I'd be doing 4 classes of 45 minutes a day but this was changed to 2 classes of an hour and a half, a day. This was OK as I still received 3 hours of direct tutorship a day.

Additional information
Positive aspects of school
The teachers and staff were kind and welcoming, and I really feel that I progressed in my language knowledge. The school in Salamanca is in a great location as well.
Negative aspects
I have no major complaints! One small thing is that in some of the rooms, the desks are really small.
Insider tips about what future students should not miss
All of the optional excursions that the school offers are really great! They do a wonderful job of teaching about the history of the area and making you feel a part of the culture.
Other comments
The people are really what make the school great – I found everyone at Estudio Sampere to be very knowledgeable and very kind! I would highly recommend this school to anyone!
City/place
Salamanca was awesome! It was big enough that there was lots to do, but small enough that it was easy to navigate and also very safe. The climate was also wonderful – dry but very summery!
Quality of teaching / language progress
This was the perfect amount of time for me to be in Spanish class! I was at school from 9 AM to 1 PM, and then I had the rest of the day to explore, go on outings, and practice my Spanish with the locals!

Additional information
Positive aspects of school
Everything was in Spanish and they wanted us to speak as much as possible, which helps a lot. One teacher used the first bit of the class to just chat in Spanish about a topic of our choice and that was really helpful just to get a feeling for the language (I was a total beginner when I first arrived).
Insider tips about what future students should not miss
Get on the towers of the cathedral, it’s really wonderful with a beautiful view. Also try the bars and tapas which are not directly in the city centre, some are really good. But you also can get cheap and nice food in the centre.
Other comments
The teachers and managers were really nice and helpful. In my time there, there was a lot of American students and not to many from other places. But everybody was nice and friendly and I made some really nice friends!
City/place
Salamanca is really nice and worth a visit.
Quality of teaching / language progress
Try to find the offer which includes the afternoon program and the conversation classes.
Accommodation
There was a Spanish roommate, which was weird for us students, since she never talked to us and didn’t try to say hello for the first couple of days. Also most students lived with families so the apartment was rather empty. I’d suggest to bring toiletpaper, just in case, since the shops are closed on Sundays. Bars and restaurants are open, so you can grab some food there.
