The lessons were monotonous and lacked variety. Oral practice was minimal and the teaching was conventional. The classes were too large (11 - !2 students). The classrooms did not have air conditioning, and Bordeaux was hot in the summer.

the classroom was too small. If the flight back home is on a Sunday evening you have no possibility to store your suitcase at the Appartvalley Residence (the reception is closed from 12.00 to 17.00 o´clock!) or in school (is closed saturday and sunday)

- at weekends, make your group go out to the bordeaux clubs

- I only took 2 weeks, which doens't suit the speed french is taught at all. Consider taking at least 4 weeks - if you want to meet other students and go out with them, take an apartment, if you want to learn french and get to know the french, join a host family!

The neighborhood around the school is delightfully cosmopolitan reminding me of the Latin Quarter in Paris. Charming narrow streets and a world-wide selection of inexpensive restaurants. Excellent bookshop (Mollat) within ten minute stroll from the school.

There was an assistant at the school named Marie who was most helpful with answering questions and making us feel welcome. She is a good Personal Relations person for the school.
