Our hours were reduced because of the small number in the class. On reflection, I would have liked to join another class for the final day. Anything would have been better than nothing.

Insider tips about what future students should not miss
Consider an apartment share before a homestay as you will find it better socially. The Homestays that I stayed at were one person not a family.
Other comments
Staff are very helpful.
Accommodation
First place I stayed at was ok but the food was awful. Host didn't eat with me and didn't get up to make me breakfast or even provide any some days.
Second host, the food was better but I felt like I was treading on eggshells as she had some strange house rules.
Both places were advertised as having air conditioning but neither did.
There seems to be a gap between what the school tells you you are getting and what the homestay is expected to provide. Does anyone from the school go and check out the accommodation or explain to the hosts what is expected?
The only downside on a great two weeks. Thanks

The teachers we had (except for two days); Activities, location
Quality of teaching / language progress
Violeta was a great teacher who was totally fun to learn Spanish with. She was very committed, organized the lessons varied, had a lot of knowledge about Spain and culture and was open to questions of any kind. However, on the last day (March 1st, 2019) we had a different teacher (unfortunately I don't remember her name). This was so unfriendly and negative! I would certainly have broken off the language course if I had had this teacher for 3 weeks. An impossible way, unfriendly, arrogant, down-looking !!!
Accommodation
Unfriendly and uncomfortable accommodation, way too expensive! Mostly ice cold, no warm water. Residents were held responsible for broken appliances (kitchen sinks) and were supposed to pay for them, even though these appliances did not work properly on arrival. In addition, it was always relatively dirty ...

Positive aspects of school
Variety of students, from many countries. Teachers are motivated and they adapt to every student. The teachers that came to the activities were interesting and professional and they seemed motivated. I missed a language lab to improve my pronuntiation and memorise the structures after class.
Insider tips about what future students should not miss
Young students: sleep so you can be efficient the next morning. After 10 everything was better, after the break.
Other comments
I missed a place to study and work or check books/videos. I think after the class is over they don't really show mauch interest for the students. I found a place to work. I was disappointed about that too. I had to find a place to study at a library in a park. If I were at the school, I could talk to other students but at the library you can't speak much without making noise.

Be sure to take part in the leisure activities. They are always very interesting, even as a beginner in Spanish you can understand almost everything, because the teachers speak clearly and slowly. You also get to know a lot about the city.

Positive aspects of school
I liked the lessons at school. In general, it was my first experience in a group, and I was a little afraid that it would be either difficult or boring, but it was fun and not too difficult for me.
I liked extra activities after classes - city tours and an extra grammar class.
Insider tips about what future students should not miss
In Seville it may rain really hard in autumn. So take shoes that you can wear in the rain.
Book more than a week. A week is very little. You just start inegrating in the group, and the week is already over.
Attend extra classes - this is an additional practice, an opportunity to meet other teachers and students.
The school has a drinking fountain, so if you have your own bottle, you can save on water.
Other comments
The building is located in the city center. It is very convenient - after classes you can always find where to eat, where to walk, and you do not have to go anywhere. There is a bus stop near the school, and you can take one to go to the airport.
Friendly administration and really cool teachers.
My group was quite large, about ten people, but I did not feel any lack of attention from the teacher.
I was alone there and spent there only one week, so I attended afternoon activities with pleasure.

The only constructive feedback I'd have is regarding the daily class timing. It is not 4 classes at 55 minutes each, but 2 blocks: 2 hours + 1h 30 minutes (sometimes 1h 25 minutes since the break may last longer).

For what I expected and the 3 weeks that I stayed, it was very good for me, although personally it would have taken me more time between the topics. Because I no longer used to train my brain to such a quantity of information. But it's personal.

I loved Marie Jose and Amie, and of course all of the people who took us on tours and taught us about Seville.
Insider tips about what future students should not miss
Go on every tour and don't be afraid to use the language.
Other comments
Too much time spent on writing. There should be no other languages spoken in class. There should be more repetition, repetition, repetition. We once attended a U.N. sanctioned French Language Course for a month in France and spent each day just trying to learn vocabulary, starting with present tense verbs, going to the simple future first repeating personal answers to questions by the teacher around the class. It didn't take long to internalize and eventually we moved on to the past tenses. I feel we learned a lot more quickly there. Language use should be spoken first then written word in later classes.

I think it would be appropriate to extend the scheme of levels and introduce intermediate levels (eg A2.1, A2.2, B1.1 B1.2) to prevent that people with quite different levels of knowledge are put in the same group

Insider tips about what future students should not miss
There are a lot of interesting places to see in Sevilla, e g many beautiful churches. During Lent there are many cross-walks (processions) to look at.
Other comments
We had classes at three different locations in Sevilla, which I think is a bit unusual. The 5+ lessons were in another location 20 minutes' walk away so we had not much time for lunch these days.
Some activities arranged by the school started at 16:00 and our 5+ class ended at 16:30 so we could not always participate in those activities, which was a pity.

12 participants per group is too much! There was almost no possibility to speak. All levels from A2 to C1 were represented in one group. The placement test was a charade: barely finished, they took the test away and we were already in our final group, without any evaluation of the test.

If you go to the beginners class, it'd help if you know some basics already. The school is in the most beautiful area in the old city. You can ask the school to arrange the accommodation as close to the school as possible. It's easier of course if you do it some months before the class starts.
