Positive aspects of school:
I didn't get to see the school since I was privately tutored and we arranged our classes either in the city (parks/museums) or in my airbnb.

Ask for Becca. She's a fantastic tutor.
Other comments:
The school was quick to reply and precise. I also really loved my teacher.

Positive aspects of school:
The location is very good, many restaurants, cafes, shops in the area. The atmosphere at the school is very cozy and friendly. The lessons were instructive and interesting (at intermediate level). The teachers had a real enthusiasm for teaching. Small class size gave everyone an opportunity to interact and practice. Staff offered very useful travel assistance.

the neighboring cities of Hang Zhou and Su Zhou are worth visiting if you have time.

Chinese restaurants in the area (shanghai, sichuan, hunan, hot pot..), sushi is good and cheap. Bargains at QIPU road clothing market

You should have enough free time to enjoy the exciting city of Shanghai! Visa info: if you are Japanese, you don't need a visa up to 2 weeks of stay/language course in China (June 2008).
