The school is centrally located in Riga. Good classification through written questionnaire and telephone interview. Excellent lessons in small groups, good support from the teacher. She answered questions willing

I have been to the Baltics many times, but the language course gave me additional insights into the country and its people. It was a nice and very productive time in Riga.

As a metropolis in the Baltics, Riga is of course more expensive than the surrounding area, but it has a lot to offer.

Functional furnishings, top location to the school and Riga's tourist highlights. Self-catering shared apartment. Kitchen OK.

The people were very friendly and kind and lessons were fun and well paced. Location was fantastic.

Negative aspects

Would have been nice to have had more group activities out of class but it was out of season and not many people in the classes at this time of year so understand why there were no real excursions even just a group drinks or meal might have been nice

The organization was great and the lessons were very good. All teachers went out of their way and had a lot of patience.

Other comments

I booked the intensive course plus mini group. Maybe it's helpful to know that there's not much time left for sightseeing during the week. School until 4 pm every day and homework; time passes quickly. I would still book the same course again, because it is very good. But maybe it's still good to know beforehand how much there is to do :)

The atmosphere and the welcoming attitude was very uplifting. The teacher was very professional.

Be prepared, learn the alphabet beforehand, listen to website podcasts, learn the cases and the conjugation of the commonest verbs!

Other comments

I would have appreciated it if there were more students at my level (beginner). You state on the internet site that no prior knowledge is necessary, but I would not have completed the course if I hadn't studied for three months in advance, as, luckily, I had done.

Riga is a great city, and since the school is centrally located, you can go out after class to discover Riga or relax by the channel.

Other comments

Since I was in Riga in January, the social program was limited, but the school tried to make a suggestion for almost every day - great! The teachers ware very dedicated ... It was just awesome! I organised my accommodation myself.

Staying with a host family was very nice. That made staying in Riga special.

I suggest to have more contact about the social program before the start of the lessons. It's then possible to choose from many possibilities.
