There was no mosquito screen and no air conditioning, so you would want to be able to open your window in the evening. And a limited number of hangers in the wardrobe. Furthermore, a nice spacious room with a desk, a bed and a fan. As for the food, not recommended.

Additional information
Positive aspects of school
In my opinion, the strengths of the school are clearly the lessons, the small classes, the commitment of the teachers and the friendly responsiveness/ helpfulness of the reception. I benefited a lot language-wise; we were always encouraged to express ourselves in Spanish, only switching to English in emergencies. The atmosphere in class was pleasant.
Negative aspects
The " welcome" on Monday morning (1st day) was impersonal and distant. I find this in need of improvement! We were sent to the respective classrooms after the test, were not given an overview of the room situation or information about the existence of a library (was there one?) and - apart from the historical tour on the first day - about other possible afternoon activities. It was only by chance that a fellow pupil drew my attention to the information board in the second week (in this respect perhaps also due to my inattention). In the school, the coffee and other vending machines did not work most of the time, so that one had to look around the school's surroundings during the 20-minute break if necessary (which was possible due to the good location).

City/place
A charming, versatile and lively city, with historical and modern sides, with many restaurants and bars and with lots of greenery. Admirable are the many large very imaginatively designed different sports and leisure facilities in Valencia's many parks, which people like to use - for walking or cycling, as a retreat/niche for reading, for doing sports, suggestions for children and families to keep busy, for partying.... and for the price of 50 Ct (ten ticket) for 90 minutes, everything is also easily accessible by public transport (metro, bus). Staying with a host family meant that I was already out and about with the Valencians in the morning, before the tourists crowded the old town; this gave me another impression of the city.

All good
Accommodation
booked: Half board. Breakfast in Spain consists of coffee and at best a small croissant, my host mother was helpful and offered me toast, margarine and jam. Later I got some cheese and was given baguette. But that's ok, other countries, other habits. She was cooking herself, simple home cooking. She had a hard time with my vegetarian diet, which she had announced in advance, but she made an effort. Unfortunately, I didn't get an insight into Spanish cuisine, which other classmates told me about; I would have had to go to the restaurants for that. I had difficulties with the fact that the flat was very dark, as she always kept the curtains closed and we ate breakfast in artificial light. I only had light in my room. My host mother was always approachable and helpful, knew about bus connections and gave tips. It was an interesting experience for 2 weeks, with all the pros and cons.

I had a fantastic experience! I have had an excellent teacher in every way, she is very friendly, kind and committed and has motivated me a lot. The quality of the classes was exceptional and far exceeded my expectations. I learnt a lot and enjoyed the course very much. I would recommend the school 100%. I would definitely do a course again at any time. Many thanks to Mila and the other teachers! I hope to see you again soon :)

Additional information
Positive aspects of school
Positive nice teacher and nice people.
Negative aspects
Fellow students far too young! Lots of 17 year olds. Sitting there for a different purpose and don't understand what you're looking for there. Organization at school quite chaotic and quality of teaching was poor.
Insider tips about what future students should not miss
Find out how you want to stay, I've seen the dorms here and it's really awful. Kind of shabby squats.

Valencia is certainly a city that offers a lot and where there is plenty to do. Historically interesting.

If you do such a course, 1 week is really too short, even thought 3 weeks too short.

Additional information
Positive aspects of school
- Motivated teachers
Negative aspects
- unmotivated management. I wanted to swap my 20-lessons group course for 5 individual lessons. This was not possible.
- I wanted to change because I didn't like the group course system. It was too fast for me. It may be that others have a quicker grasp of things.
- but I simply couldn't process about 100 new words a day after the lessons. I don't think that should be the goal. Anyway, I'm going home and I'm afraid I've only learned a lot in passing, especially the vocabulary.
- I will book more language trips, but I'm interested in another language school with a different concept.

Positive aspects of school
Great teacher Maite, patient, kind and very knowledgeable. Excellent pace of lessons, lots of material covered.
Negative aspects
No activities in the afternoon, no field trip together, or even an intergroup meeting.
Insider tips about what future students should not miss
There is no direct flight from Warsaw to Valencia, so when planning a trip to this city you should take into account that travel time may be significantly longer than originally planned.
Other comments
School is very good and located in an attractive area.

I have no complaints, I am very satisfied.
Accommodation
Very nice apartment owner, helpful and committed. Excellent location of the apartment - close to the school, close to various attractions of Valencia.

Additional information
Positive aspects of school
The commitment of the young teachers. The offer for the participants of the 50+ course, which enabled better contacts.
Other comments
The course participants have to buy a thick, heavy book that has to be carried around all day if, like me, you live a long way out and don't go back during your lunch break. Storage options, e.g. lockable compartments, would be helpful. In addition, one could relieve teachers and students through better media equipment.
City/place
The city is not as safe as it seems. An attempt was made to steal money from a "classmate" from her backpack. She also witnessed a personal attack on a woman on the bus.
Quality of teaching / language progress
Very good idea to offer this group additional afternoon activities. The quality of the excursions was very different. On the Saturday excursion to Albufeira (for all language students) the time management was not successful.
Accommodation
My room was a bedroom, ie without a table (writing possibility). However, it did have a computer and television. The bathroom was fine. No contact developed beyond the absolutely necessary communication.

City/place
Sometimes the high humidity bothered me a bit (even in October). With a cooler breeze it was very pleasant. The beach is beautiful!
Quality of teaching / language progress
I cannot recommend the 50+ offer. The lessons take place with all age groups (I had 4 18-year-olds, some of whom were not very motivated, in my course). The afternoon activities are so-so. Here quality and quantity are in a very bad relationship to one another.
Accommodation
I had a very nice host mother who cooked me well and talked to me with a lot of patience. The main negative point was the transport connections, because the bus only drove every half hour and often came too late or too early. I solved the problem by renting a bike. But cycling in this busy city with many one-way streets and cycle paths not on all streets needs to be learned.

Just everything. It was such a great experience there. Be sure to have lunch in the market around the corner or have a snack for in-between. Definitely do as much as possible on foot.
Other comments
It was all in Spanish, which is good in principle. However, if you had questions, you got the answers in Spanish, which was simply stupid for the understanding of some things. If you didn't understand it then, you didn't understand everything on which the answer was based.
