I loved how friendly everyone there is and also that some teachers show you little restaurants near the school where you can eat together.

Insider tips about what future students should not miss

If you are a beginner and don`t understand a word of Potuguese, ask for a teacher who speaks English because it`s really difficult to learn from a teacher who only speaks Portuguese.

The teachers were very personable.

Negative aspects

They did not do any social activities as planned. In addition they were more concerned with moving along in the book than retention of content.

Other comments

I left after 3 weeks as it was a total waste of time and money. I would not be able to recommend them. My concerns were brought to the school as well.

Other comments

Teacher for one-on-one lessons did not speak English. Although this was not a showstopper, it chewed up a lot of precious time (lengthy and sometimes imprecise and downright wrong explanations of words and expressions which could have been done in 5 seconds in English). Traffic noise from the nearby street was sometimes a bit annoying.
