Location: Anglophiles Summer School Nottingham is located in the historic city of Nottingham, in England's Midlands region. These seasonal summer programmes are ripe with activities, tuition and much progressive learning for junior students 11 to 17 years of age. Nottingham is most infamously known for the historical figure and symbol of Robin Hood, someone that can be seen and recognised in various parts of the city.
Course selection: The school's junior programmes are available as fully immersive English programmes plus multi-activities. The sports facilities at a student's disposal include a swimming pool, tennis and basketball courts, table tennis and squash courts.
Social and cultural: Activities and excursions included in the programme can include trips to the famous Sherwood Forest and York and activities such as ten-pin bowling, ice skating and a visit to the York Dungeon!

This programme is a perfect combination of English lessons and a varied selection of sport and leisure activities. During the language lessons, the class will focus on spoken English and students' listening skills, as well as work on grammar and vocabulary. This will help students to be confident in their everyday communication.
Then, participants will take part in various sport activities: swimming, tennis, basketball, squash, etc. Additionally to the sport activities, the course also offers leisure activities, such as laser games, cinema, visit to museums, etc.
The programme includes a full day excursion each complete week and short trips to discover the area.
This course consists of English classes on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. On Thursday there is a full day excursion included in the price.
ACCOMMODATION & FOOD:
Each student will be accommodated in carefully selected families, by the Local Organiser. Many of the school's families receive their students regularly every year and all are thoroughly inspected before being accepted.
Full-board. On weekdays: breakfast & evening meal in the host family, packed lunch with the group. At weekends, all meals are with the host family.
ENGLISH CLASSES:
24 hours of lessons during a 2-week stay.
35 hours of lessons during a 3-week stay.
Students are given an English language test on arrival and placed in English classes according to their language level.
The average number of students per class is 12-15. However, a maximum of 16 students per class. Emphasis on spoken English and listening skills, including work on essential grammar and vocabulary.
The school's teachers are all fully qualified. Many of their teachers have worked regularly on their past programmes. They work with great enthusiasm and energy to make the classes really vibrant and enjoyable.
The school aim to make students effective and confident in their everyday communication. All course materials are supplied.
