Location: CLLC Toronto is located in the safe and vibrant city of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Housed on Yonge Street, within walking distance of Downtown Toronto and many attractions, the school is surrounded by shops, bars, cafes, eateries and green spaces. Such sites of interest within walking distance of the school include the Yonge-Dundas Square, the College Park shopping mall, the Art Gallery of Ontario, Queen's Park, the Toronto Old City Hall and much more.
Getting around: The school is within 50m of the College subway station and has the Yonge St bus and tram stops equally close. Toronto is a great city to walk around, with areas of the city centre very manageable on foot. There are also taxi, bus, subway, tram and streetcar services readily available throughout the city.
School facilities: School facilities include a lounge area, microwave use for students, vending machines for drinks and snacks, free after-class access to language learning software and free WIFI.
Course selection: CLLC Toronto offers a range of courses suitable for students of all levels. In addition to General English, the school also provides specific learning in Business English, Exam Preparation and University Pathway programmes. The General English program has six levels from introductory to advanced. The
program develops skills in five areas: reading, writing, listening, speaking, and critical thinking.
Intensive studies is the recommended option as you can enjoy both Reading & Writing, and Listening & Speaking classes. Each level is designed to take 10 weeks to complete.
Students can choose two classes from the primary class options, Reading & Writing, Listening & Speaking, and IELTS Preparation or Business English. Elective Plus One class is also included and gives students the opportunity to focus on additional language skills that are different from their primary classes. This is a comprehensive program that gives students the skills they need to be prepared for college or university or a well rounded Canadian language experience.
Special note for 2024 holiday season: If you plan to take a course during the high season months of April, June, July or August 2024 we urgently advise you to book as early as possible. In 2023 many schools were fully booked during the holidays, and the situation is unlikely to be different for 2024 due to a current shortage of teachers, which affects most schools.

This course focuses on listening and speaking, reading and writing, Business English, IELTS and CLLC's Plus One elective class. The Plus One class occurs daily, Monday to Thursday. It allows students to choose a variety of topics that cater to their interests or academic weaknesses. Plus One topics change every two weeks, so students get the chance to study many topics during their study period.
