This course includes: 3 hours with emphasis on oral communication and 1 lesson iOL (grammar, listening and writing practice on computer) per day. There is also 1 lesson at lunch in a local restaurant with teachers and 1 afternoon or evening outing per week.With 3 hours of lessons every day, an extra (optional) hour of computer study daily, and a reduced number of participants (an average of just 4 or 5 students) the inlingua mini-group intensive courses ensure that you will make quick progress with your Portuguese. Although all areas of the language are covered, the school places a special emphasis on communication skills so speaking and listening are the areas you will improve the most. Outside of the classroom, the school invites you to take part in the social activities that are organised each week: a lunch on Tuesdays and a Wednesday afternoon activity where you can chat with teachers and other students: in Portuguese of course!

Lessons on the Group Intensive course delivered at the Fast Forward Institute focus on the active use of the language. The teachers’ goal is to help you develop all the fundamental language skills of Portuguese, which are: reading, writing, listening and speaking. The lessons are 50 minutes long. Maximum of 6 students per group. Available from absolute beginner to advanced levels. Lessons are devoted to learning and practising grammar, as well as vocabulary extension. Nevertheless, the importance of communication is stressed throughout the course. An emphasis is placed on real-life situations through role-plays, conversations and interviews. The training is complemented by discussions around culture, history and current affairs, films, articles and music. The school closes on public holidays. However, missed classes will be made up for at a later date. It includes 4 lessons of group instruction per day. Lessons focus on the active use of the language. Lessons aim at developing all the skills, such as: reading, writing, listening and speaking. Lessons are also devoted to learning and practising grammar, as well as vocabulary extension.
