Sestri Levante ratings & opinions
How our students rated their experience in Sestri Levante
What our students said about Sestri Levante
The city is quite small (20,000-22,000 inhabitants) and cozy. You probably read about the two bays in other reviews :) Also, there is a railway along the coast, which makes it possible to go from Sestri Levante to other cities for a walk or on an excursion, ше very convenient.
Russia
Sestri is a beautiful place by the sea with a small, very well-kept old town. Many facades are beautifully painted as if they were stucco. Easy to explore on foot, too. The shops (clothes) are high-priced and nice to look at.
Austria
Nice little town with picturesque centre, great beach access and beautiful location of the school in a bay. Short distances to train and bus.

A great, lively, well-kept city. Very touristy. But very friendly. You usually eat well everywhere. The two beaches are great.

What school directors said about Sestri Levante
Sestri Levante is a colourful town on the Riviera Ligure. The Bay of Silence is considered one of the 10 most beautiful beaches in Italy. It is perfect to have a language orientated travel for those who want to study Italian and have a holiday in Italy: food, panoramic walking in the surroundings and famous places like Cinque Terre help to make it an unforgettable experience.

I liked the small classes, enjoyed the classes and of course the setting. I think I would do 2 weeks at a time instead so we could digest the material.
Instructors were very good.

Group size (max. 6 participants); separation of the lessons into grammar and conversation, whereby the conversation was obviously also geared to the interests of the group. Group activities. Very inexpensive rental bike.

Mostly very good teachers, air conditioning in the rooms. Very friendly students, mostly over 50, good atmosphere, great location. You can change classes flexibly. We had a great grammar teacher in Daniele. Great activities. Everyone is very relaxed, including the school management. The beach is right on the doorstep. You quickly make contact with other people.

Small, friendly school. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Although the lessons are held exclusively in Italian, it is no problem to follow the lessons. The teachers are perfectly prepared for this. There is paraphrasing and drawing!
Good organisation, from the online booking to once on site!

There are a maximum of 6 people in a group, it is very convenient, everyone has enough time and attention from teachers.
On the other hand, other school´s activities are not divided into groups, everyone comes together. This provides an opportunity to meet other students. It turns out that the social circle is not limited to these 6 people, any student can communicate with all the rest of students who are cuttently at the school, it is very interesting.
The school itself made an exceptionally good impression on me.
Everything is very warm-hearted there. It is small and as a result everyone knows everyone. Monica currently fulfils the functions of a secretary and director at the same time. If a student has any problem, they can easily communicate directly with the director.
Paolo is also there. He will also always help you if you have questions, and if a student forgets words and starts to get nervous (as it often happened to me), he will always say his eternal "calma, calma" and wait until you remember everything, showing with all his appearance that he has time to wait for you. And somehow you really feel calmer :)
The location, of course, is worth mentioning separately. The school is located on the very shore in one of the bays. This building is visible on almost every travel postcard. Before or after classes, you can always go swimming, and you can hear the sea during the lessons.
