These classes take place every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday - and are purely focused on helping students develop their French grammar understanding and their writing skills. No matter what level you currently have these skills at, Accord will have the right level group for you.

As an added bonus, you’ll speak in French constantly with your classmates, since the students at this academy are diverse and from a wide range of nationalities - meaning that the common language in the classroom ends up being French.

Every teaching hour is equivalent to 60 minutes, which is more time than many schools offer per tuition hour. “The teaching was EXCELLENT...and I'm a teacher-trainer for second-language teachers. These teachers just did a really super job. The classes were smaller than advertised, which shows that the school is willing to run small classes if necessary rather than shoehorning students into wherever there's space. There was a good mix of nationalities in the classes, too.”
Insider tip: “This school has NO registration fee, which will save you €50-€85, so that's important for short-term students to know. Important tip for the coffee machine in the cafeteria: first put in money, then choose how much sugar, and only then choose the type of drink you want. Otherwise you'll get "medium sugar" in everything! If you are in the market for souvenirs, there's an "overstock store" down the road that has a supply. Also, there's a theater next door that has a really funny show, all in English.”

Other comments I was only there for 1 week, and I'm very low level, but everyone was as kind and helpful as if I'd signed up for a year! All of these intensive courses are expensive, however...probably best for either tourists or prospective university students who need to learn French ASAP.

“- I did miss though a clear programme and curriculum that was being used during the classes. It really depended on the subjects chosen by the teacher, which were - as mentioned - very interesting but also very random. There was no specific curriculum of, for instance, B2-level grammar (which I did) that we could go through. Sometimes too much time was spent on explaining very basic (A1/2-level) grammar as the level of French of some students was definitely not B2, which brings me to my next point. - I would suggest that the assessment of the students' language knowledge prior to enrollment be revised. The online language test was very short and simple, and I felt that a number of students in my class did not have the level they had signed up for, which adversely affected the quality of the class. - Minor detail, but perhaps still worth mentioning, there were very few toilets at the institute, only two, resulting in long queues during breaks.”

ACCORD School doesn't offer a cultural activity programme, as most of our students arrange their own social life. We have partners such as the CIJP (Club International des Jeunes à Paris) and Erasmus in Paris which offer excursions and visits to famous locations outside Paris, such as:
- The Palace of Versailles
- The Loire Valley and its famous castles
- Chantilly
- Senlis
- Beaune
- Fontainebleau, etc.

These programmes available through Accord Language School’s partners, C.I.J.P (Club International des Jeunes à Paris) and Erasmusare displayed at the school and students book direct with these organisations independently of the school once they are in Paris if they want to.

The Adagio Access La Défense Léonard de Vinci residence is located a short walk from the La Défense district, shops and restaurants. Each studio includes a bed, a kitchenette, desk area, bathroom with shower and toilet, TV and free Wi-Fi. The residence has a heated indoor pool. Guests also benefit from access to self-service laundry facilities and can have breakfast at the residence for an extra fee.

Please note there is no air conditioning in the studios/apartments.

  • “Our partner schools in Paris don't offer Senior courses. I can recommend you the Oral Communication course offered by the Accord French language school. You can start the course any Monday if you speak some French. Students get along well during the lessons as their language level and their goals are the same. The 50+ courses tend to be geared toward a slower learning curve with a focus on sight-seeing and socialising. If your intention is a more serious study, I do recommend you the Oral Communication course which includes the Intensive Course A (26 standard French lessons per week) and 8 afternoon lessons dedicated to Oral Communication. If this is too intensive for you you can book only the afternoon Oral Communication lessons (8 lessons per week).”

  • “She first has to do a placement test to see what her current level is before we know if 2-3 weeks would be enough for her to be able to successfully make the DELF exam for level A2. The school cannot guarantee that she will reach the level required in 2-3 weeks, as it will depend on how hard she works, her motivation and aptitude.
    In accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages which ACCORD School adheres to: to go from complete beginner level (A0) to A1, you need to follow a course of minimum 20 hours per week for approximately 5 weeks. To go from A1 level to A2 level, you need another 6 weeks approximately. It also depends on aptitude, motivation and self-study.
    Regarding the DELF exam, we aren't an exam centre for this exam and I'm afraid we cannot currently help students to register for the DELF exam. If you would like to take the exam connecting to the course, please register directly with one of the official centres in Paris and note that the exam centres require a minimum of 8 weeks between the registration and the exam date.    ”
