Standard General English course Monday to Friday plus afternoon classes on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
On the Intensive English Course, you will follow the same programme as the Standard General English Course in the mornings. You will also have afternoon classes and the chance to improve your language skills even further, to progress faster.

Morning lessons are divided into two parts, usually taught by two different teachers (UK & Ireland). These lessons help to build your knowledge of the language, focusing primarily on helping you increase your vocabulary and improving your grammar so that you reach the levels of accuracy you need. Lessons also work on improving your overall communicative skills and fluency. Of course, you will also work on specific pronunciation difficulties and expand the range of language you use in real-life situations.

In the afternoons, you will practise and expand on the language you have learnt in the morning, with a strong focus on listening, reading, speaking and writing skills through discussions, role plays, video work and listening exercises. Depending on availability, there is also the possibility to study for an examination (IELTS, Cambridge FCE etc.) and practice key exam skills, or the Business English option will help you manage your language skills for work.

This is the most popular course in all CES schools. The Standard General English Course takes place every morning from Monday to Friday, leaving you free to join the Social Programme or study on the CES Online e-learning platform and in the Self- Access facilities every afternoon.

Standard General English course Monday to Friday plus private lessons two afternoons per week.
On the Combination Course, you will follow the Standard Course in the mornings and have two afternoons of private individual lessons. These are designed to meet your individual requirements and give you the perfect opportunity to work on specific language areas of your choice with your own teacher. In advance of your course or during your first individual lesson, you will complete a Needs Analysis form with your teacher, in which you can identify particular areas to work on. This helps your teacher to plan your programme according to your learning needs, and ensures you get the maximum benefit from your lessons.

IMPORTANT: Flights not included. Allow approximately an additional EUR 200 to cover return flight between Ireland and the UK plus the additional travel costs between locations within the UK when applicable.
Students will be able to live in the United Kingdom and Ireland and learn more about the culture and social life of both countries. They can start their course and finish it wherever they prefer.

Students can take a 3, 6 or 8 month programme to reach IELTS 5 or 5.5 at the end of the course. Students will then be ready to take a Foundation Year course at one of the school's partners.

On this course, you will study General English every morning and IELTS/Academic English in the afternoons. At the end of your programme, provided you achieve the required IELTS score, you will progress on to one of the CES partner foundation colleges in order to prepare for university entrance. As part of the IELTS classes, you will receive instruction in the Academic English skills necessary for a course of further study. These include note-taking, listening to lectures, referencing and conducting research.

Standard General English course plus Business English lessons every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday afternoon. Offered for the months of July and August only.
The comprehensive General English with Business course will help you develop the language and practical skills to enhance your working life in industries of all types. Every weekday morning, you’ll take classes as part of our General English course. And in the afternoons, you will focus primarily on the specialised language of Business English in several key areas.

Now you can combine the best of both English language classes and Business-English education on one custom-built course. On weekday mornings, our General English lessons are designed to make sure you are always building your language skills, while gradually increasing your vocabulary and knowledge of grammar at the same time. While in the afternoons, you will focus on how Business-English is used in several areas including meetings and negotiations, socialising and travel, presentations, analysis, advertising, written communications, and much more.

This course consists of 26 lessons per week designed to pass the First Certificate in English Exam. Practice exams and guidance from a tutor is included in the package.
The General English classes take place from Monday to Friday in the morning. The FCE exam preparation lessons are in the afternoon from Tuesday to Thursday.

With the Standard IELTS Preparation Course, you get high-quality teaching and real-life local experience. Every weekday morning, you’ll take General English classes from 09:30 – 13:00, Monday to Friday. On Tuesdays to Thursday afternoons, from 14:00–16:30, you’ll learn the key tasks and topic areas that come up on the IELTS Test. For the remaining afternoons, the school's fun-filled social programme will give you a real flavour of local life and culture.

Right from the start, our experienced teachers will help you focus on the four crucial skills of speaking, listening, reading, and writing. For the IELTS Test itself, you will get very familiar with the format of the test and will have the opportunity to practise a range of test-taking strategies within given time limits. At the end of each week, you will sit one part of an IELTS exam, under exam conditions. Throughout, you’ll get expert tuition and ongoing feedback from your teachers.

  This is a fully accredited 5-week fast-track online course which prepares candidates to teach in both a regular classroom as well as online. No previous experience is needed in using the Zoom platform as training is given as part of the course.
  
  Sessions are delivered by our tutors in an interactive and practical manner through Zoom. These sessions are designed to help candidates acquire and put into practice the knowledge and techniques which are needed when teaching in a regular classroom environment as well as in an online classroom. Preparation time is timetabled every day and our tutors will give you guidance on how to prepare for and plan lessons. Teaching Practice takes place through Zoom with these lessons occurring in the morning or afternoon.

The online CELTA courses will help you to prepare for your first steps in English language teaching. You can complete the course over 5 weeks full-time, 10 weeks part-time, or 24 weeks part-time. Since 2004, the school has successfully taught 3,000 candidates at their Dublin Edinburgh, and Leeds schools. Their highly qualified and experienced instructors will give you guidance, support and feedback at every stage.

For both English speakers and non-native English speakers with no teaching experience, the online courses can be completed over 5-weeks (fast-track), 10, or 24 weeks in some cases. You’ll take classes delivered by the tutors in an interactive and practical manner through Zoom. These will give you the knowledge and techniques to teach both online and offline. Preparation time is timetabled every day for the full-time course, and you’ll learn how to prepare for and plan lessons. Teaching Practice takes place through Zoom and you will have access to the school's own CES online platform with invaluable extra resources. CES also liaises with certain schools abroad (e.g. China, Japan, Indonesia, etc.) for work opportunities post-course.
