It differs from a standard school. There are students from all over the world with whom it is interesting and useful to communicate to improve your level. They don't force you to do anything. You do not want, do not do it, but you will only make it worse for yourself.

Insider tips about what future students should not miss Although French entered at the beginner level, I was able to study while being supported by the teachers. At first I think you may be confused, but if you have a positive attitude to participate in the lesson, you will be able to speak French as much, so Actilangue recommends it.

Unfortunately, I received the contact details of the host family very late (Friday morning, the course started on Sunday). I had only booked two weeks before the course started, but as my host told me that she had already asked the school for my contact details on Monday, I know that it would have been possible to make contact earlier.

Quality of teaching / language progress: Perhaps the language school could also come up with a concept for the individual lessons in advance. I was asked in the first lesson what I wanted to learn. That took me a bit by surprise, as I wasn't expecting to be allowed to help shape the course. I would have liked a bit more of a concept here. For example, a comprehensive vocabulary list on a certain topic that the participant would like to learn, along with new words that can be incorporated into the language. The grammar script is great. I would have been very happy with vocabulary lists in any case!

Other comments The pacing was a bit slow due to many new students coming in per week but there should be no problem asking to skip levels if you feel like it's too slow for you.

Would be good to have more online homework, online exercises, a lots of paper wastage, a bit old fashioned. It was very hot, the aircon would be very useful.
