Location: Ardmore Language Schools Henley-On-Thames is an English language institute located in Henley-on-Thames, a rural town on the banks of the River Thames in Oxfordshire, England. The school is in Shiplake College, a "Harry Potter style" building on the River Thames. Students have an array of on-site facilities and surrounding gardens to enjoy. The school is a 20-minute drive from the closest hospital and a 10-minute drive from the town centre of Henley-on-Thames.
Course selection: The standard Junior Residential Summer programme at Shiplake College includes lessons, accommodation, meals, activities, excursions, workshops and more. Students also reside on campus and have 24-hour security, ensuring the safety of all students. This course is available to students aged 8-17 during the summer months. The school also offers a specialised Rugby Academy programme for students aged 12-17, also during the summer months.
School facilities: The school has fantastic facilities, offering students a historic dining room, an outdoor heated swimming pool, tennis courts, playing fields, a sports hall and an indoor theatre. The classrooms are modern and have ample natural light to supply an optimal learning environment.
Accommodation: Accommodation is in boarding houses, in single, double and triple rooms, with some larger rooms also available. There are common rooms and small kitchen areas in each boarding house. The bathroom and shower facilities are shared.

Special note for 2024 holiday season: If you plan to take a course during the high season months of April, June, July or August 2024 we urgently advise you to book as early as possible. In 2023 many schools were fully booked during the holidays, and the situation is unlikely to be different for 2024 due to a current shortage of teachers, which affects most schools.
