General English runs in 7 week cycles where each student is assessed in all areas of General English before proceeding to the next level. Classes cater for all levels of General English, and focus on equipping learners with effective English language skills that can be used to communicate both socially and in the work place. Grammar and vocabulary input increases knowledge of the language, while role-plays, interactive exercises, and real-life situations help to build confidence in using the language. Homework is an integral part of our courses and is given after every lesson. This provides further practice of the lesson content and is essential to the teacher as a diagnostic tool.
Students cooperate with their teacher by: ?. Attending every class. ?. Paying attention in class. ?. Speaking only English in class. ?. Aiming for excellence in their tests and exams. ?. Completing all the homework assigned to them. Our General English programme can also lead to pathways for those who are planning to enter Tertiary Education, or going to New Zealand high schools.
