Student opinions about Babel Academy of English, Dublin

Liked
Fantastic teachers Keith and Eimear who put a lot of energy and ingenuity into teaching using a variety of forms, methods and materials. Warm, friendly contact with students from the whole School team. Authentic, very interesting ways of teaching, unobtrusive didactics creating a good, safe learning atmosphere. Openness and respect for diversity (despite a significant age difference, I did not feel any difference in the approach to me). Very good atmosphere during lessons. Individual approach to the student while taking care to work in pairs, groups. Attentiveness and alertness to the needs of each individual student. Great team of committed, professional people.
Disliked
Too little information on afternoon activities. It would be nice to see information about afternoon and weekend opportunities and meetings in emails or text messages. (Right now they are only on a board in the hall).

Questions and answers about Babel Academy of English

  • We can do our best to accommodate the student in Host Point Campus, but we can’t guarantee that she gets Host Point, as we may only have one residence available at the time of the booking. We can, however, put a note on the booking and, when confirmed, we’ll book her in there, subject to the availability of her requested dates.
Andrew, Marketing & Development from Babel Academy of English - Apr 04, 2022
  • Many of the courses on LanguageCourse.Net have in-depth course descriptions and information below the title of the course in the course section of their school page. Simply click on the name of the course via the course section of our webpage and the drop-down information should appear. Failing that, open a chat with one of our agents and we will get further information to you straight away.
    Fraser Provan , LanguageCourse.Net - Nov 28, 2022
  • If the capacities allow it, it is no problem to book extra nights in the student residence.
Andrew, Booking manager from Dublin - Dec 14, 2022
  • We have a lot of families around in Dublin 5, Dublin 9, which are not very far from the city centre.
Do they know that our summer school is held in Raheny (About 20 minutes by train from the city centre)? Most of our families are close to summer school.
Hiroko, Sales Executive from babel Academy of English - Mar 17, 2023
  • Unfortunately not. The residence accommodation we work with stipulates that all check-ins must occur at the weekends.
Andrew, from babel Academy of English - May 02, 2023
  • They will have a placement test on their first day, so there is no test before arrival. (adults usually have the online placement test, but not juniors)
Hiroko Arai, Sales Executive from babel Academy of English - Jun 13, 2023
  • The mother takes classes in the city centre while the kids are in Raheny, which is about 30 minutes by train and walk. Both summer school and adult school start at 9:00, and finish at 17:00. As they are quite young, she would need to drop off and pick up the kids everyday. We can offer an accompanying service. Someone can go to their houses in the morning and drop them home after activities. We would ask for €20 per day per person (Stand 2023) for this service. I am sure they will be used to going to school alone after a couple of days.
Hiroko Arai, Sales Executive from babel Academy of English - Nov 22, 2023
