Location: The Centre is located in the heart of the world-famous town of Taormina, the most beautiful town in Sicily. Courses and programs are held at “Casa Silva”, a historic villa, built-in 1817 just 200 metres away from the Greek Theatre: an architectural, natural and historical treasure that Taormina has miraculously managed to conserve. The villa still today boasts a luxurious botanical garden filled with citrus trees, Mediterranean plants, centuries-old palms, monkey puzzle trees and magnolias, as well as many other exotic trees and plants.

It is designed for those who want to have a more intensive group course to strengthen their abilities in a shorter time.
The first session (09:30 – 11:00) is the “Global Approach” session. In this session, the students work on all 4 language abilities (listening, speaking, reading, writing) and the aim of all activities is to improve the general understanding of an oral or written text and to improve the communication skills. In this session there is no focus on grammar and all activities are “free” activities (meaning that there is no active correction by teachers).
The second session (11:30 – 13:00) is the “Analytical Approach” session. In this session, the students also work on all 4 language abilities (listening, speaking, reading, writing) but the aim of all activities is to understand how this language works. In this session there is a focus on grammar and all activities are “controlled” activities (meaning that there our teachers will highlight mistakes and work on self-correction as much as possible).
The “intensive PLUS course” includes both sessions as described above, plus an extra 2 lesson session a day, from Monday to Friday.

This course is centred solely on the student passing the CELI Exam. There are a number of levels of CELI Exam that correspond with the level of the student. This course consists of the following daily schedule; 4 lessons of standard group lessons of Italian and one private lesson specific to focusing on the CELI Exam. Included in the price is an assessment test, fees for the CELI Exam, Italian lessons and the exam session. The exams are twice a year in either June or November.
The school is an authorised Exam Centre for CELI (Certificato di Lingua Italiana) of the University for Foreigners of Perugia.
The course includes:
- an assessment test to decide the level of the CELI for which the student will enrol (5 hours in the afternoon of the first day)
- fees for the CELI exam
