Location: Britannia English Academy Manchester is located in the artistic and historic city of Manchester, England. Home to the industrial revolution and some of the world's grandest football (soccer) teams, Manchester has been a pioneer on many fronts, including the arts and music, for many years. Britannia English Academy enjoys the best of this with a central location within walking distance of attractions such as the Manchester Art Gallery, Picadilly Gardens, the Royal Exchange Theatre, the Palace Theatre and much more.
Course selection: Britannia English Academy Manchester provides English language courses to adult students of all levels. In addition to General English taught over various schedules and intensities, the school also runs Ladies Only programmes, Exam Preparation (FCE, CAE, CPE, IELTS), Conversation lessons, English for Specific Purposes and Erasmus+ programmes. One-to-one tuition is available independently or in conjunction with any other course.
Throughout the summer months, immersive junior programmes are also readily available to students aged 7-17 years of age.
Getting around: The school is within a 65m walk of the Charlotte Street/Chinatown bus stop and a 400m walk of the Picadilly Gardens tram stop. The Manchester Piccadilly train station is within a 10-minute walk of the school's front doors.
School facilities: The facilities at Britannia English Academy Manchester include a games room, lounge area, kitchen, library and a student support desk for any questions or queries that may arise.

Quality of teaching / language progress: It is a good course to learn English. There are professional native teachers and they make the class an enjoyable place to learn. Visa Documents
Nationals from USA do not require a visa to study short term courses up to 180 days. A valid passport and an ETA (Electronic Travel Authorization) is required to enter the UK. The application for the ETA is done online https://www.gov.uk/guidance/apply-for-an-electronic-travel-authorisation-eta. The answer is expected within 3 working days, costing GBP 10. The ETA allows multiple entries in the country for up to 6 months for a maximum of 2 years or until the passport used when applying expires.
