Location: Bucksmore English Langage Summer School d'Overbroeck's is located in the historic and medieval city of Oxford, in central southern England. To the north of Oxford city centre, the school provides a fantastic setting for a summer school, housed within a purpose-built, detached building with a garden. Course selection: The Young Professionals Summer Programme caters to teenage students looking to further themselves in business & finance, engineering, medicine, science and computer science. Students choose 1 subject per week, where lessons plans and excursions for that week encompass their chosen subject. Through theory, practical and group project-based lessons, students gain valuable insight into what a possible career path in their chosen subject may hold for them in the future.
School facilities: The facilities of the school are of a very high standard, offering everything a student may need to be successful whilst taking part in the Young Professionals Summer Programmes. These facilities include a large garden, several contemporary classrooms, art rooms and numerous laboratories, ensuring that these state-of-the-art facilities make d'Overbroeck's a perfect location for any student on the Young Professionals Summer Programme.
Accommodation: Accommodation is onsite, split between the 3 residence boarding house facilities on campus. Single, Twin and Triple bedroom options are available with shared or en-suite facilities. Each of the boarding houses also has its very own social area with table tennis and televisions.

This course introduces the history of architecture, architectural concepts and design methods through practical demonstrations and exercises. The course introduces techniques for conceptualising, analysing and defining surroundings through the eye of an architect. Students are encouraged to explore, document and understand their surroundings as a context for practicing the use of drawing techniques considering the prominence of the city within
contemporary creative practice.

Tottenham Hotspur Stadium - The Technical Tour at the Tottenham Hotspur
Stadium is led by an expert guide, students will venture on a journey beyond the boundaries of the usual tour route, underneath the pitch and above the stands, teaching you in detail about what makes the stadium both an architectural and engineering masterpiece.

Microsoft – In this Minecraft Education workshop students will be guided through unplugged activities, coding challenges, and interactive discussions to explore artificial intelligence and block- based coding, with a focus on completing quests.

Business of Chelsea – Located in London, Stamford Bridge Stadium is home to the famous Chelsea Football Club. This course will guide aspiring engineers to gain a better understanding of the engineering
industry from commercial and technical perspectives. Students will understand the different
areas of engineering and learn to evaluate the social, economic, and environmental impact of
projects in different global contexts. Possible topics areas for each week may include: the
principles of design, planning and prototyping, sustainable engineering and the varying roles of the Aspiring Engineer.

National Space Centre - Working to a budget, students must work together to design, construct and launch their rocket to ‘land’ on the Moon. Their craft must be designed based on strict criteria and materials purchased on a budget. Which team will win the race?

This course aims to introduce the field of medicine as both a scientific field and profession. Taught by experienced industry professionals, lessons will incorporate both

RI Bacterial Revolution – L’Oreal Young Scientist Centre - Students will step into the role of a clinical bacteriologist and use research-grade laboratory equipment to investigate DNA samples from new outbreaks of bacterial disease. They will use restriction enzyme digests and gel electrophoresis to analyse and learn about DNA, restriction enzymes and evolution.

Airport transfer is included provided that students' flights arrive and depart between 10:00 and 20:00 at either Heathrow or Gatwick.
The four week course is only bookable on 9 July. The course is repeated every two weeks.
Lessons take place in blocks of two or three hours, and vary from day to day depending on the timetable. They can take place in the morning, afternoon or evening. The hours stated are a suggested time.
