Venue: Cape Town School of English is located in the Cape Town suburb of Claremont, nine kilometres south of the city. One of Cape Town’s Southern Suburbs, Claremont is a residential and commercial area, very much on the rise. The school is located in a busy thoroughfare, within walking distance to a number of restaurants, cafes and bars, and just a few steps from the Cavendish Square Shopping Mall. Arderne Gardens, a public park and arboretum is about a 13 minute walk away. Travel time to the downtown core of Cape Town is approximately 30 minutes by car.
Getting around: The city centre of Cape Town is very walkable but beyond that, most locals travel by car, Uber, taxi, etc.. The school is less than 5 kilometers from the Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden and Newlands Forest, at the foot of Table Mountain, and a 20 minute drive from Cape Town International Airport (CPT).
The school: Established in 1991, Cape Town English School has decades of experience teaching English. They provide courses in General or Business English as well as exam preparation programmes for the TOEFL, IELTS, TOEIC, Cambridge and Pearson English exams. Their highly supportive staff is keen to ensure that all students are comfortable and are happy to help students adjust to their new surroundings.

In 2024 many schools were fully booked during the holidays, and the situation is unlikely to be different for 2025 due to a current shortage of teachers, which affects most schools.

Individual classes
Single individual lessons of tuition can be reserved at 390 ZAR. The combination of group and individual lessons is highly recommended. Individual lessons will encourage you to actively speak the foreign language and will offer you the opportunity to discuss individual problems and weaknesses.
