Standard General English course Monday to Friday plus afternoon classes on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
On the Intensive English Course, you will follow the same programme as the Standard General English Course in the mornings. You will also have afternoon classes and the chance to improve your language skills even further, to progress faster.
Morning lessons are divided into two parts, usually taught by two different teachers (UK & Ireland). These lessons help to build your knowledge of the language, focusing primarily on helping you increase your vocabulary and improving your grammar so that you reach the levels of accuracy you need. Lessons also work on improving your overall communicative skills and fluency. Of course, you will also work on specific pronunciation difficulties and expand the range of language you use in real-life situations.
In the afternoons, you will practise and expand on the language you have learnt in the morning, with a strong focus on listening, reading, speaking and writing skills through discussions, role plays, video work and listening exercises. Depending on availability, there is also the possibility to study for an examination (IELTS, Cambridge FCE etc.) and practice key exam skills, or the Business English option will help you manage your language skills for work.
The Intensive English programme is perfect for students who are in a hurry to improve!

One of the best ways to learn more about the people of England is to choose homestay/private home accommodation. A homestay can welcome a maximum of 4 students. The hosts treat students as full members of the household, eating together and sharing the common living areas.
In Homestays, you can expect to live with students of different nationalities (if you have not requested otherwise). Family life is informal and the people are welcoming, friendly and talkative, so you will have plenty of opportunities to practise your English.
Private home accommodation can accept more than 4 guests. In this type of accommodation, there may be less direct contact with the host(s) as a consequence. Private home accommodation is not suitable for students under 16 years.
CES Leeds offers its students a large selection of homestay/private home accommodation. Both types of accommodation include breakfast and dinner 7 days a week. The average travel time from accommodation to the school is 30-45 minutes by public transport.
