Location: Concord College Junior Summer School Shrewsbury is located in the small town of Acton Burnell, close to Shrewsbury, in England's Shropshire district. The school is housed in a fortified manor, Acton Burnell Manor, and has expansive grounds and facilities surrounding it. The buildings on site are viewed as having much significance to the evolution of the modern-day government and democracy. The Medieval market town of Shrewsbury is just 8km away and has many shops, eateries and restaurants, in addition to museums, theatres and cinemas.

Course selection: The school specialises in courses and immersive programmes for Junior students. Concord College Summer School offers something for everyone, including language classes, academic courses such as GCSE and A-Level Science and Maths, a Future Leaders course including debating and public speaking, and a competitive University Preparation course. Generally, the programmes take place throughout July and include on-campus accommodation, three meals per day, activities, excursions and 24/7 supervision and security.

Social and cultural: the school arranges many activities for junior students to enjoy throughout their programmes. In addition to this, the area provides a beautiful rural location, rivers and hills for outdoor activities. The historic town of Shrewsbury and the Roman city of Chester also give unique opportunities for excursions close by.
