Location: Converse International School of Languages (CISL) Junior Centre San Francisco is located in the famous and vibrant city of San Francisco, USA. Housed within the University of California, UC Berkeley (UCB) campus, international teens can study English whilst getting involved in activities in and around the San Francisco Bay Area.
Course selection: Programmes are available to teen students aged 13-17 years for 2, 3 or 4 weeks. The "UC Berkeley Campus Programme" includes on-site residential accommodation, all meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner), a varied programme of activities and at least one excursion per week. Excursions and half-day activities typically include trips to Santa Cruz Beach and Boardwalk, Lucasfilm & Walk Disney Museum, a UC Berkely Tour, and much more!
Accommodation: The accommodation is residential, in the dorms of UC Berkeley. Rooms and bathrooms are shared.
School chain: Converse International School of Languages (CISL) has supplied English language programmes for over 50 years. They currently have numerous Junior Camp locations throughout America, a Summer school in Chicago and a school for adult students in San Diego.
CISL is accredited by the CEA (Commission on English Language Program Accreditation), which, in turn, is recognised by the U.S. Secretary of Education as an accrediting agency for English language schools and programmes throughout the U.S.

This course includes 20 lessons (16 hours) of English lessons, on campus accommodation, a full programme of activities and one excursion per week.
With CISL’s Berkeley English Programme, students take classes at UC Berkeley (UCB) and live on the UCB campus. The programme features a 2, 3, or 4-week CISL English language training course, daily afternoon activities, and weekend excursions throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.
CISL’s Berkeley English camp offers:

- Quick subway ride to San Francisco
- 2 afternoon Cultural Workshops per week to learn more about American culture
Classes with the UC Berkeley camp for teens include: - CISL-created curriculum actively engages students in their learning process through a project-driven English programme

- Classes from 9:00 to 12:30, 5 days per week
CISL’s English camp for teens in Berkeley provides: - A variety of interesting and focused entertainment on weekday afternoons
- Full-day Saturday and half-day Sunday excursions to a variety of attractions
Includes: 4 half day excursions, 1 full day excursion and 1 afternoon campus activity
Special note for 2024 holiday season: If you plan to take a course during the high season months of April, June, July or August 2024 we urgently advise you to book as early as possible. In 2023 many schools were fully booked during the holidays, and the situation is unlikely to be different for 2024 due to a current shortage of teachers, which affects most schools.
