- Younger students should consider that the average age of students at this school is significantly higher than at most other schools.
- Do not offer favorable cancellation terms in the case of a student getting a visa rejected.
- Lessons are 45 minutes long, which is shorter than in other schools.
Location: Dialoge is a German language school located in the city of Lindau. The school offers courses for all levels of learners of the German language. Situated strategically on Lindau Island, Dialoge offers high-level language education and combines it with a variety of leisure programs to make learning interactive and practical.
Course selection: Students can choose from 6 levels of courses according to their comfort. With a highly trained staff of native German teachers and a robust curriculum for everyone from teenagers to adults, learning German has never been easier. The school offers morning, evening and afternoon courses for flexible scheduling. Individual training is available to those looking for a more tailored course and individual attention.
Accommodation: Students are spoiled for choice when it comes to choosing accommodation options and can opt for anything from living with host families to hostels and student housing.
Dialoge’s much-acclaimed leisure program encourages students to indulge in the local culture and experience their visit to Germany more intensely. Activities include full-day excursions to must-see places such as the famed BMW and the Deutsches Museum in Berlin, Mercedes Museum in Stuttgart, the island of Mainau and a city tour to amazing Constance.

“An excellent language school in the best location possible! Highly experienced and talented teachers make learning a pleasure by interspersing learning, chatting and a variety of group activities. Small, evenly-skilled classes make it possible for everyone to participate. Conversation training (a separate, afternoon activity) is an absolute must in my opinion. Evening activities are a charm - both these organized by the school and impromptu ones by us, which are very easy to organize since most students live nearby. Lindau offers everything one (well, I at least) could ask for: Swimming, walks, sports, excellent restaurants, bars and cafes, a nice spa, train connections to Munich, Zurich and Bregenz, shopping at Lindau Reutin, what else could one ask for?”

As "conversation training" depends on conversation (surprise!), I would guess that the success of any particular class does depend on the pupils as well as the teachers, though I will say the teachers used very, very effective methods to strike up group conversations. I happened to join a terrific team, so needless to say, the course was superb.
Other comments As I understand it Dialoge is affiliated with TELC, not with the Goethe Institut. This may be an issue with test accreditation in some countries.

Other comments Accommodation especially for 2018 was on Lindau island, at Hintere Insel 1 instead of its normal location in Herbergsweg 11 on the mainland. I visited both and actually think the premises at Hintere Insel 1 were much better in terms of location / adjacency to the school / safe access to the town. So I think it would be good if Dialoge can retain the location in Hintere Insel 1.

The student house Europaplatz is located on the mainland directly in front of the island of Lindau. It is also possible to take the bus line 1 or 2. From the bus stop Toskana it takes just a few minutes to get to the bus stop Hauptbahnhof, which is next to the dialoge building.
